No, you won’t have the votes, Nancy. But, of course you must tell the illsheeple what they want to hear. We can’t have them disgruntled, now can we? After all, they might self-deport if they realized there will be no amnesty. Then, how will your masters make their profits?
Quote:
WASHINGTON - February 11 - In an interview published today in the nation's largest Spanish-language newspaper, La Opinión, and other ImpreMedia publications, U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) reasserted her commitment to advancing comprehensive immigration reform in 2010, and expressed continued opposition to immigration raids that tear apart American families.
Pelosi also told La Opinión that "we will have the votes" and "The Congressional Hispanic Caucus has taken the lead. I think they feel pretty confident about the numbers, and if they see it that way, I do too."
The interview also touched on Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids. We can't wait for immigration reform to make that happen...When I've complained about this, the response has been that they are not happening as frequently (now)....but as long as this is happening to even one person, we have a problem.

They don't have the votes and she knows it. She is pandering and making false promises. Lets face it Pelosi seems to be quite comfortable with lying.

It’s no natural to her, it’s like breathing. She probably isn’t even cognizant.

The only thing I know about Pelosi, she never mentioned Amesty in her interview. She said Immigration Reform.
What ever form that takes is up to the committees of the two houses of Congress, not Pelosi, not the Hispanic caucus.

No, Pelosi wouldn’t dare mention the word amnesty. However, the proposed CIR ASAP bill is indeed a pardon for the illegals and their greedy scum employers.

Exactly! She and the rest of the far left wingnuts have made it pretty clear what they mean by CIR and that is amnesty/legalization and or citizenship for illegal aliens.

Absolutely. They've proven it time and again. When they say reform, they mean amnesty, although they may call it a 'fast track to citizenship.' It's still amnesty, forgiving those who have crossed the border illegally. Nothing less will satisfy them.

This is proof that CIR does not equate Amnesty...
2006: Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2006 (S. 2611)
Passed with NO provision for Amnesty.
2007: Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007(S.1348)
Did not pass. no provision for amnesty.
2008: No CIR Proposed.
2009: No CIR proposed.
There was a Stand Alone Amnesty Legislation porposed and defeated, but it was not linked to or a rider to any CIR Legislation since 2004.
So where is the Proof that CIR means amnesty?
