Right, of course, I need to "catch up" to someone who's clearly getting ahead of oneself. Sorry about that, carry on!

First of all, It may remain, because its the Law of the Land; and a Constitutional ammendment to boot.

Secondly, it may be easier for Ireland to change laws or their constitution, than our Constitution.

To ammend the US Constitution, will take 2/3 of both Houses of Congress to propose the language of the Ammendment...Thats a "yea" vote by 67 Senators. Then ratification of the proposed ammendment language by 3/5 of State's legislatures...30 States.

No easy task

With so much talk about anchor babies and the draining cost they are putting on this nation, it will be done. Finally closing that loophole which costs everyone, including those here illegally as now they will have another mouth to feed without our SS system footing the bill when they take them back to their own home country.

Which will cost them much self hardship once they are deported (self or forced) by taking their babies back to their home country and having to take care of them without US assistance. They need to rethink this practice.

[LEFT]"We should ban these types of divisive proposals," Baca said. "All this bill is meant to do is play on people's fears, incite anger and hate surrounding anti-immigration policies. This bill doesn't do anything to fix our broken immigration system."

So typical. Those hispanics need to stick together dont they. If this bill passed it would help big time. No more money would be wasted on families that dont deserve to be here. It would save us loads of money because thats what alot of them come here for anyways.

<<To ammend the US Constitution, will take 2/3 of both Houses of Congress to propose the language of the Ammendment...>>

When Congress discovers that allowing birthright citizenship to remain in force, will cost them votes, and possibly their seats in Congress, they'll act fast enough to make it clear the 14th Ammendment does not include children of illegal aliens, or birthright tourism. Nothing is as dear to a politician's heart as a vote.

That's why I advocate voting against all incumbent members of Congress, except those who have taken a strong, active stance against illegal immigration. We may have to do this a few times, but they'll get the message eventually----Do the bidding of the people you were elected to represent, or you'll be replaced.
