allAfrica.com: Nigeria: NIS to Fish Out Illegal Immigrants in Enugu (http://allafrica.com/stories/201002150856.html - broken link)

This is a good idea which could be used to weed out criminal aliens.

Our country is much too PC to even entertain the thought. It would be “discrimination.” Not to mention, racial profiling.

loop-de-loop...I understand, it would also be terrific if this were to be done and if one chose to not comply due to them feeling it be discriminatory, they would be informed that they would automatically leave themselves open for investigation. Problem solved. All legal immigrants will be happy, American citizens will be happy. Only those here illegally will be very very unhappy. Yet since they have no rights as American citizens, who cares?

Although in Nigeria it would not be racial profiling by US standards since virtually all parties involved are of the same race. Best analogy would be Mexico profiling Guatemalans in Mexico since at least some of the former are of the same ethnicity as the most of the latter (Mayan Indian)

Nobody but tribally ethnocentric legal hispanics and their illegal relatives, and, of course, the one's with power, those 6 republican and 202 left wing amnesty progressive democrats in Congress blocking all efforts to stop illegal immigration, until Nov anyway.

I would wholeheartedly endorse such a measure here. However, in our current PC climate, it simply won’t happen. We can’t even have 287(g) or E-Verify without illegal alien advocates and the bleeding heart sheeple whining about discrimination, racism, and xenophobia. Heck, all opposed to illegal immigration are considered “haters.” After all, there couldn’t possibly be a legitimate reason for opposing illegal immigration.

Let’s not forget how ICE raids are “tearing families apart,” and the “inhumanity” of our border fence. Open borders/amnesty advocates will continue to assail any initiative intended to tackle illegal immigration; and they will continue to be placated by politicians seeking their money and their votes. This is precisely why it’s imperative that we remain tenacious in this battle to save our country from this government-sanctioned invasion. If we fail, say hello to the third-world.

And during all the red tape political bulls**t our country goes down the tube. I know I am not a "hater of people" only a hater of blatant raping of America and it's people by greedy egotistical persons who care less for preservation of this nation and more for which cut of steak they will be able to have each night for dinner. Families being torm apart are being done by illegals themselves. They chose to be criminals and have no familial rights in this country as far as I am concerned. Let them go home, anchors and all.

Absolutely. Few of us anti-illegals are "haters." Clearly, pro-illegals are grasping at straws, because that's all they CAN do.

Especially with the looming Democrat debacle this upcoming November---------read that not only the odds of any sort of mass amnesty will have just dropped to zero, the 14th Amendment will likely be tweaked to specifically exclude Anchor Babies..

I am not only hopeful of this, but sure it to occur. There is a great misconception of the American people and the lengths we will go to for preserving our country. "Political correctness" as described today is flying out the window mostly due to the constant screaming of it from pro-illegals. Non resident registration will become commonplace as a way to begin to wade through all of the travesties illegal criminal aliens have caused. Just the mention of it will send many back to their homeland. Now that's political correctiveness!
