It hasn't passed yet, still must go through the State Senate for approval. There are several other states with pending E-verify legislation: Washington, Indiana, Michigan and Kentucky. Plus a Minnesota stimulus bill has an E-verify attachment.

In this nasty recession: E-Verify will probably pass in all of the above states..........minimum. Hell: the housing market in the Wash DC area is now showing signs of implosion.

The Virginia House passed a bill (H.B.737) on Tuesday...

And it moves forward....... I am particularly happy this to be closer to the "home" of legislation enactment, Washington, D.C. As the wagons circle: (Maryland) E-Verify urged for Baltimore County - baltimoresun.com
