More false prophets with lame ideas hit the wall of reality...and self destruct.

The court issued a permanent injunction “ordering defendants Courtney, Stewart and Sielski to refrain from holding themselves out to anyone as members of [Minuteman] Project Inc., or members of its board of directors.
The Minutemen severed ties with Jim Gilchrist ages ago, as have most anti-illegal organizations. He is essentially a lone wolf. The membership of others such as Shawna Forde, have also been terminated. This organization can’t be judged by a few bad apples. Of course any organization opposing illegal immigration is demonized by the supporters of lawlessness.

Yet, Tony “the toilet” Villaraigosa, while a former member of the reconquista group MEChA, is the mayor of LA. Apparently, guilt by association only applies to anti-illegals.

Also note, the thread is about Jim Gilchrist, the names mentioned by 1751texan were those involved in activity against the MMP.

No, mayor Villaraigosa has never done any actions to even imply reconquista. It's a little different...

Exactly, Benicar! Good point about the mayor of L.A. He was a member of Mecha and they are known for their reconquista agenda. You don't join a group with certain ideals that you don't agree with.

Here is another situation. Sometimes at anti-illegal rallies which included some Minutemen, radical individuals like the KKK and Nazi skinheads would come uninvited and not affiliated with the rally group but the pro-illegal side would try to claim that they were. Yet I saw many rallies on the pro-illegal side with reconquistas carrying signs that all those of white European ancestry are here illegally and that this land belongs to Mexicans instead. Should we assume they represent the base pro-illegal group and were invited by them? They don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot.

I am glad that the Minuteman organization dumped the radicals within their ranks. They did not represent what the core organization was about.

Fallcious since she never proved any link between his actions and reconquista. So it's a nice red herring. What else would you expect when you have baseless arguments?

Gilchrist, admitted allowing Neo-Nazi's into his movement. If he simply is "for the rule of law" why would he allow such people? There is a difference in saying that genocide occurred and that European colonialization was not based on "rule of law" (claiming sovereign nations as your own runs, and ran, into a host of legal problems). Not to mention that the Azatlan movement is about as living and relevant as Dick Clark. Gilchrist has even went on the OC Register to advocate for the potential of an uprising. Not really following the rule of law. If the major of LA were to the the same analogous things, then I would agree with your premise. He didn't.

I denounce the radical fringes of mecha, or any other organization. I feel that you shouldn't throw the baby with the bathwater. That maybe even the minutemen aren't completely racist. Hence why I stated that they are acting out in protecting their idea of what America is. Which is completely fine. Even though I may not agree, they have every right to do so.However, when your leader goes on to promote the fringes of an organization to at the helm...and when said fringes are deemed dangerous and unstable, then it's okay to make some judgement.

I am glad that the Minuteman organization dumped the radicals within their ranks. They did not represent what the core organization was about.

They were sought out in 2005. Again, I would have say that time would tell if they are actually following the "rule of law" justification...which it just seems unlikely.
