No tamper proof ID and process to verify, no path to Citizenship aka amnesty of any level.

If anyone thinks there will be an amnesty without a process to prevent further illegal immigration they are indeed dreaming.
This is true. Due to the 1986 fiasco, politicians realize we won’t be fooled again. The ONLY possible way to assuage concerns would be to implement a procedure that will prevent a repeat of the failures following the last mass amnesty. As long as the job magnet exists, illegal immigration will continue to flourish. But then, we already knew amnesty was not the goal of those who profit from cheap labor; and they have the money and power to dictate results.

So you go into the informal sector...As long as there is money and a flawed system that doesn't punishes those trying to enter into the formal sector of the economy, you will have a problem. In fact, it could lead to a bigger problem.

If every business is mandated to use e-verify on current and future hires most of the illegal aliens would not stay employed and new arrivals won't find work. There may be a small black market workforce but it would cut illegal immigration down to very manageble numbers. The pro-illegals claim that "they are only here to work". If that is so then removing the incentive of jobs should be a deterrant, right?

First off, it's not a black market. It's the informal sector. Black markets are for CONTRABAND GOODS. Not illegal immigrants working under the table. Two very different things. Secondly, there will ALWAYS be jobs...

The goal should be to remove as many illegals from our country as possible. Realistically, they won't all leave but a huge portion of them would. There wouldn't be that many jobs where the "majority" could get away with working under the table for any length of time. I woud even accept 50% less illegals in this country then what we have now. That would mean success to me.

Illegals have fled every area currently enforcing our laws. They leave, because they have no choice.

Is that why illegal immigration is rising again?
