Truth is the dems and the repubs are both in favor of illegal immigration.
Just for different reasons.

Repubs want the low cost exploitable labor source in order to drive down the bargaining power of labor in the marketplace.---Ask yourself what did Bush and the Repub majority do to curb it when they were in power--They gave it lip service and laughed at you knuckledragging hillbillies.

The Dems are a group of pansies hoping to capitalize on things by PANDERING to these minorities and pushing for amnesty in order to add to their political base for election purposes.

Both Parties are screwing us. Both sides are hitting us with no lube.

But we still get on these forums and argue the same ol tired @-$-$ Repub/Dem talking points.

Good cop ---Bad Cop anyone?

Actually I think both parties are in it for all the same reasons.

Both want the cheap labor for their beloved corporations and fellow elites. Both want the NAU, the New World Order where their beloved corporations like Walmart are allowed to build all over Mexico and Central America and unlimited immigration is part of that whole deal as millions of campesinos are to be uprooted and displaced.

Both are capable of pandering, look at McCain, the way he blatantly pandered to the illegals. As did Bush. And Kennedy, and Clintons, and Pelosi.

the repubs do NOT deserve their repuation for being anti illigal immigration, not one bit.

the first and ony time we gave ammnesty it was Reagan in office, bush 43 wanted amnesty and mccain, from arizona of all places, had a very accomodating record and platform running for pres., just check his website.

Right now would be a good time to do it since we are in a deep recession and the job market can not absorb the people that are here.Others have brought the strain on social programs, just what we need now being broke. This would be a good time to stop all immigration with of course some exceptions.
I have noticed through my walk through life that the people I meet and know are for strong immigration laws and most are {D}s.Some are even for troops at the border, that might be the only way to curb the flow.

I think because it's more about slimeball politicians and the political reasons for this problem.

I think it speaks volumes about our government that so many people of all races/backgrounds have asked for enforcement against illegal immigration and neither party has done a thing about it. We have a government that no longer represents its people, not one bit. A few state governments (AZ, OK, UT) have made some progress, but that's it. Like I've said, the elite of the US is similar to the elites in Latin America - they could care less about the people of the country they reside in. Elites don't belong to any country, just any which one that supports their interests and is profitable for them.

That news is old. The difference today is that Americans are listening to what they are saying this time. Majority shows Americans do not want illegals here, nor given amnesty. Their old arguments of the "whys" fall on deaf ears. Cheap labor, votes. Many will lose office this time around if Americans are not given what they want. And I'm also afraid civil unrest will definitely occur. Notice how careful our politicians are on talking about the subject today? They know, America is listening, watching and waiting.

The differences which were once so blatant between the two major parties have now blurred to the point that one is not much different from the other.

You cannot say that the Dems merely want the legalized illegal immigrant vote when people like that paragon of social reform, Nancy Pelosi, are using illegal immigrant labor to maximize their Napa Valley vineyard profits.

I mean, lets get real here people. Neither party promoting amnesty has the best interests of the illegal immigrants at heart.

Nor, the citizens of this country. Both sides are consumed by greed.
