The Associated Press: AZ may criminalize presence of illegal immigrants

Once again, AZ is on the right track...

Quote:
This year, their prospects have improved. A proposal to draw local police deeper into the fight against illegal immigration has momentum, and even opponents expect the new Republican governor to sign off on the changes.
The proposal would make Arizona the only state to criminalize the presence of illegal immigrants through an expansion of its trespassing law. It also would require police to try to determine people's immigration status when there's reasonable suspicion they are in the country illegally.
An estimated 460,000 illegal immigrants live in the state.
Quote:
"The greatest threat to our neighborhoods is the illegal alien invasion," said Republican Sen. Russell Pearce of Mesa, sponsor of the proposal, explaining that some illegal immigrants who are criminals bring violence and other crimes to the United States.
Reality statements, it is a national problem.

You should feel lucky you don't have 3 mil to deal with like CA does. I hope that passes and that other States adopt it.

An article I read stated authorities abroad are going business to business with flyers letting them know they are sweeping hotels, restaurants and businesses in hopes of flushing out illegal aliens. It has everyone scrambling....chuckle.

The sad thing is that these are reality statements but the ink won't be dry on this bill before the illegal supporters come out of the woodwork spouting charges of racism, discrimination, xenophobia, and anything else they can think of. La raza, ACLU- we all know they'll be all over this one....

Yes, the most racists groups of all time, yet our government embraces them. How did it happen that a racist group is allowed to be ANY part of our governmental issues. What the h*ll is our government so afraid of? I tell you this, it is not going to be a surprise to me when there is a revolt and we throw out those currently in the seats destroying this nation. THAT is a patriot, stopping treason in this nation. A true patriot stands up for ones country, not ones governement, especially a corrupt one.

Ironic isn't it. Stopping people from breaking our laws is now discrimination. Giving Citizen rights to people from half way around the world that aren't and don't want to be citizens. They are not of one race yet they will claim "racism". The toll is at 12-20 million, double that with their kids. It's enough to start a new Country yet they call it "xenophobia".

The pro-criminals have painted a bizarre Mad Max movie.

Let them. In this especially pernicious recession: such 'racist' talk will likely fall on the deaf ears of increasingly desperate and enraged unemployed Americans--------of any ancestral race/ethnicity.
