No, No, No! Why can't the Senate hear the voices of the American public? Could it be that they are so engrossed in pontificating that they can't hear the very people that elected them? Or, is there another reason?

Besides giving general amnesty to all the illegals, the bill specifically grants amnesty for gang members and for fugitives who have been ordered deported by an immigration judge, but have refused to leave. There are over 30,000 illegal-alien gang members in over 33 states, who would only have to sign a "renunciation of gang affiliation" to be granted amnesty. These are the same folks who are destroying our neighborhoods with the use of guns, drugs, and other violent means. Do you want them as your neighbor?

Second, the Senate bill allows the government only one business day to conduct a background check to determine whether an applicant is a criminal or terrorist. The federal government does not have a comprehensive, searchable database with all the treacherous people in the world that it can quickly reference for background checks. The whole point of immigration laws is to know who is coming into our country. It is important to remind folks that it was just during the 1986 amnesty that Mahmoud "The Red" Abouhalima was granted legal status upon forged documents. He became the terrorist leader in the 1993 terrorist attack against the World Trade Center
Continues,
Bill Grants Amnesty to Gang Members, Fugitives

Yup, I do believe they are wrapped up in pontificating. They are so enthralled with the idea of a "bi-partisan plan" that they have completely forgotten their decisions will affect the American public. We need to remind them that this is not a harmless game of chess.

I think the senators that put this mess together know very well Americans don't like this proposal. They just think they're superior to us, so they really don't care what we think. They think of themselves like Lords sitting in the House of Lords back in England, where they can just dictate policy. Our only hope here is with the House, because even if the Senate reigns this bill in a tad, the bill they send for reconciliation will still be disgusting.

Pontificating, hot-aired windbags.......you know, I first became aware of the MS 13 gang back in the early 1990's and congress and law enforcement should have been seriously dealing with this extremely dangerous and ruthless gang back then......now this gang is in every state in our country bringing death and destruction into our lives and families.......if they can't deal with this MS 13 gang problem, how can we expect them to deal with the even larger problem of illegal immigration???

If you haven't already done so call, email or fax your congress critters and let them know that you are furious that MS-13 and other gang members would even be considered for citizenship.

Drugs are a weapon of mass destruction. Stop Zeta and MS 13 before someone you know dies from their nefarious narcotics.

This piece of toilet paper legislation was stopped yesterday evening 6-07-07!! Thanks to the independant lobbying efforts of the American People! Unfortunetely the Criminal Barbarians and savages of the third world will continue to invade the Union and take it over city after city, county after county and state after state! Officials fear gangs linking up with terrorists - Newsday.com (broken link)

LI delegation split on immigration deadlock - Newsday.com (broken link)

"If we do nothing, we have de facto granted amnesty to every illegal immigrant that's here as well as keeping the faucets running," The next step is to call your legislators and force them to repeal the 14th amendment! The amendment allows illegal immigrants to drop their babies on the US side of the Rio Grande and claim citizenship and social services through them! Why does the U.S. have such an insane policy? Most countries of the world do not! The United Kingdom and Australia formerly had similar policies, but changed them when they were subject to the same abuses which the U.S.A. still endures.
