The point being, that it is against the law to employ illegal aliens. So yes, it IS criminal. Why on earth would the DOL knowingly assist people who are ineligible to work, and are willfully violating their own laws? If anything, they should target the illegal employers and discourage illegal aliens from working in this country. At the very least, this is aiding and abetting.

It may have everything to with the Bill of Rights, and protecting our Constitution. It is not illegal to advise any people of their rights under the US Constitution. I don't believe any part of the Bill of Rights excludes people who are in this country illegally. It's all about Due Process.

The aiding and abetting part falls on the shoulders of the employers, households, who knowingly employ illegal aliens. And that should be up to each state to control, IMO.
