Illegal immigrants contribute an estimated 7 billion in social security alone.

Quote:
While it has been evident for years that illegal immigrants pay a variety of taxes, the extent of their contributions to Social Security is striking: the money added up to about 10 percent of last year's surplus - the difference between what the system currently receives in payroll taxes and what it doles out in pension benefits. Moreover, the money paid by illegal workers and their employers is factored into all the Social Security Administration's projections.
Quote:
The file has been mushrooming ever since: $189 billion worth of wages ended up recorded in the suspense file over the 1990's, two and a half times the amount of the 1980's.
In the current decade, the file is growing, on average, by more than $50 billion a year, generating $6 billion to $7 billion in Social Security tax revenue and about $1.5 billion in Medicare taxes.
In 2002 alone, the last year with figures released by the Social Security Administration, nine million W-2's with incorrect Social Security numbers landed in the suspense file, accounting for $56 billion in earnings, or about 1.5 percent of total reported wages.

How does the government or anyone else know what illegal aliens do or do not pay into social security? Have they created a new “illegal alien” category for social security wages and withholdings?

Exactly, what i would truly like to know, do we have an exact figure or document that shows us just how much they pay in. I honestly do not feel that all illegal aliens pay into social security, if so, show me the numbers!

All I've ever heard was that illegal aliens that use stolen SS numbers live off of the SS amount allotted to that number after retirement, stealing more money of course.

Whether this is true or not does not justify illegal immigration into our country. The pro-illegals use any supposed benefit to our country to justify undermining the rule of law by these invaders. Of course they totally ignore all the tax dollars that illegals are costing us in the way of healthcare, education and welfare and the increase in our crime rates.

Well, imagine how much tax dollars illegal drain off in medicaid costs, WIC, jail, public education, TANF. It is impossible to know what they pay in, as they are undocumented and many don't have a ss# or taxpayer ID #.

100% fraud at work here as well--------thieves stealing jobs from Americans who would otherwise be paying into SS.

not quite a fair trade

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR): The Estimated Cost of Illegal Immigration

In any case, when you add up all the direct and indirect costs it would not surprise me if the amount exceeded $100 billion, per year. If the data for the costs of crime is correct, and the traffic accidents participation turns out to be as great as some indicators point to, then the number could easily exceed $200 billion.

Using the $200 billion figure and 300,000,000 million people in the US, that would be $667 for every person in the United States. However only 136,000,000 file taxes, and of those about 44,000,000 pay no taxes leaving about 92,000,000 actual taxpayers. For them, illegal immigration could be costing each taxpayer about $2,174 each. In states with high percentages or concentrations of illegal aliens the amount is even higher.

At $2,174, that amount would buy a head of $5.96 per head of lettuce every day of the year. What could you do with an extra $2,174? So much for a "victimless crime."

Shhh. . . you’re not supposed to mention this. The latest strategy of the pro-illegal crowd is to convince the citizens of this country of the “benefit” of illegal aliens. Otherwise, it will interfere with their amnesty agenda.
