I am not a Mexican (or even of Mexican origin) but an American whose ancestors have been in the US since the early 1800s and I happen to agree with saganista. It really shocks me to see such hostility directed at immigrants. Wow!

That may be your experience, but I currently live in the SF Bay Area, previously in Philadelphia, Boston and North Carolina and I have never been subjected to any hostility at the hand of undocumented immigrants. I have, however, been called names and mistreated by many people who are Americans.
Living in CA, illegals and others out of amnesty group are making life very fearful when driving, shopping, watching news reports, or actually threatened by usual gang mentality types, including physical attacks! There is a dramatic rise in violence, shootings/killings in L.A., even nice areas, against whites and blacks and hispanics. Many people are afraid to even go out of their bar covered windowed homes in many cities, and they do not dare report to police violence they see. Gangs control neighborhoods.
FOR THE MOST PART IT WAS NOT LIKE THIS BEFORE THEY CAME HERE, AMERICANS ARE BASICALLY PEACEFUL PEOPLE AND WE LIVED PEACEFUL LIVES WITHOUT THE VIOLENCE, THREATS, CRAZY ACTING OUT, RUDENESS, LACK OF MANNERS, LACK OF HUMILITY, PERVERTEDNESS, LOWNESS, THAT WE HAVE TO LIVE WITH NOW!! Over 20,000 Americans have been murdered by illegals since 2000.

I'll be real honest here: it's easy to be an upper middle class type person that reads the Wall Street Journal everyday, ignorant of facts ... until something happens. That something matters from person to person, as some people don't cross the threshold until the **** hits the fan personally. Foreign policy is irrelevant; the barbarians have to be ramming down the front door.
IF we could only enforce the laws, we wouldn't have these problems. But to do so, we would need a thoughtful national consensus, something that has been elusive since the 1960s, as the politicians hide behind words in the newspaper or sound bites on the TV.

Yes, all states are not affected equally yet, and we must get the message out to other states about the barbarianism going on in CA, they are now where CA was almost 20 years ago.
OK I'm still in the mode to grasp at some straws here. How about a class action lawsuit by American workers against companies that give jobs that belong to legal citizens, to illegal immigrants?
....or businesses that can no longer compete because of unfair competition by businesses that hire illegals? We could start a collection to hire lawyers. One won case would start the ball rolling.

So one big company sued at a time? I don't see why the government cannot be sued as you said in previous post. I'm going to do a thread on another possibility, they should be discussed on top anti illegal sites.

Things are changing,and , its too late to stop it. Regardless how we feel about whats right , and the fact that the Government has looked the other way for so long,I think the cat is out of the bag. They are here , they won't go back , they will demand equal rights , regardless of legal or illegal status. They will get public health care at taxpayers expense. Its the wave of the future. This country is changing, you might as well except the facts. Spanish WILL become the first language in many areas, and all signs, tests, printed matter , as well as teaching in schools will be more and more in Spanish, thats the way it it is , and will be for a long time.
If you don't like it , or can't handle it , move to a state or area , that has very few migratory workers . The Latin people's are fast out pacing any other group, they are going to keep coming at a higher rate then ever before. No one or no group will be able to stop them. Remember , this is not a race issue, its an economic one.
It would be simple to say we could just give them back the SW that they lost in 1848, I would be all for that, but , they have integrated sociality all over the country.
This country will become part of the new North American Union, Canada , United States , and Mexico, the borders will become but a stopping off place for signing in. What this all means is we here in the US will be investing in Mexico even more than all the money the illegals send back now. I don't know why the government could not be either. They are breaking the law after all. I think if one business won a lawsuit against another for creating an unfair competition atmosphere that would lead to a class action lawsuit.

mmigration authorities have arrested more than 500 sexual predators of children in Illinois during the last four years, the sixth-highest total in the country, under a special initiative called Operation Predator, federal officials plan to announce Thursday.
Nationwide, the investigation, run by the department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, has nabbed about 10,000 child sex offenders, with 85 percent of those arrested found to be non-citizens, said ICE spokeswoman Gail Montenegro. That high percentage reflects the nature of the investigation, which focused on foreign nationals and targeted international Internet rings used by people in the U.S., she said.
More than 5,500 of those arrested around the country have been deported, she said.
In the Chicago area, those arrested included a former principal at Chicago International Charter School’s West Belden campus on the Northwest Side, an Aurora police officer, a Wilmette junior high school teacher and a Chicago pediatrician — all of them U.S. citizens who kept child pornography in their homes or solicited children for sex over the Internet, Montenegro said.
Non-citizens arrested included a 26-year-old Mexican national convicted of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl in Moline and a Nicaraguan national in central Indiana convicted of molesting a 6-year-old girl.
Both men served prison time and were later deported, officials said.
That's awful about that many people.
