Quote:
BATON ROUGE, La. -- A study by an LSU sociology professor and doctoral student suggests the influx of Latino workers into a city increases unemployment and violence in the African-American community.

Any illegal invasion is sure to create animosity anywhere, as it has.

Professor Edward Shihadeh and Ph.D. Candidate Raymond Barranco conclude the arrival of large numbers of immigrant workers in an urban area displaces blacks from low-skill jobs. That, in turn, leads to an uptick in violence.

"This is an unintended but significant result of immigration policies," Shihadeh said. "This is not a blame game. We do not advocate restricting the flow of Latino migrants in either direction.
I am just flabbergasted that the unemployed Black US citizens involved are not 'dancing in the streets' over the treasonous actions of their putative 'leadership'.

I don't understand why black leaders won't stand up for blacks with illegal immigration. Many blacks I know are highly against unskilled foreigners for obvious reasons.

Because the 'Black leadership' has a pathological need to be 'slave masters'-------read that they are 'better' than the rank and file Black folks out there so they are kissin' up with another so-called 'disadvantaged group'-------illegal aliens.

Frankly: I bet it burns the guts of Jesse and Al seeing President Obama in the White House. The mere presence of the latter just exploded the myth that no 'person of color' can rise to the top of the heap in the most powerful nation in the world----------which; BTW, is majority White.

It causes problems in ALL communities- not just for black people.

We don't hear about this issue much because proponents of illegal immigration cannot use the "racism" card here. If this issue is brought up, it must be discussed for what illegal aliens really do....taking jobs from people, not paying taxes, sucking up tax dollars in social services.

True. However, illegal immigration tends to disproportionately impact low-skilled/uneducated blacks. The so-called black leadership ignores this fact in exchange for “contributions” from illegal alien peddlers.

I believe that blacks see illegals (illegal Latinos) as being taken advantage of "by the man" as blacks see themselves as having been taken advantage of for so long in this country, so they seek to align themselves with the "underdog" in order to have some kind of solidarity. Only the truth of the matter is, blacks are becoming outnumbered by Latinos in communities they once dominated and the culture is shifting in these communities so some blacks (not all) are slowly realizing the writing on the wall. But unfortunately, the majority still want to align themselves with the illegal's cause - because that's what the black leadership is directing them to do. It's the black leadership that benefits from aligning themselves with the Pro-illegal crowd because there's exposure and money in that. And it's really too bad because there are some blacks who think they absolutely "need" a leader to give them direction (strength in numbers like a Sharpton, Jackson type), they don't realize that they're being sold down the river used as pawns by their "so-called" leaders.

I hear this repeated as fact. Who are the leaders that are aligning themselves with the pro-illegal crowd. And how is the money made in the aliance?
