So why not just have liberals pay higher taxes to compensate for the lost revenues from illegal immigrants being paid unde the table, and the use of services... Libs, why not volunteer to pay higher taxes?
They can also stop you on other reason suspicin of another crime. Then if that leads to proable cause they can arrest you for that crime.Its really no different than required of the federal officers or any other stop.
The biggest problem will be for them to be able to figure the difference between a illegal and a hard working American citizen who is Latino. If they can do that you'll be fine, however if they racial profile Hispanics like they do blacks then you're gonna have a problem.
So are you being racial profiled if you visit Germany or England and you are asked to show your passport?

Why not have all the conservatives pay the higher taxes for same, since the majority of business owners who hire these folks are cons.
I won't be spending any tourist dollars in AZ as long as they have that law in effect. I won't be buying any products produced in AZ as long as that law is in effect. It's profiling people based on looks and setting up a police state which is against the constitution. Scary stuff. If they really want to do something about illegals do something about the employers who knowingly hire illegals because they can get away with paying them less and giving them substandard working conditions. Without the jobs, they illegals have no reason to come here. Yes, we need immigration reform, but what AZ is doing is just plain un-American. Legal immigrants should be able to walk down the street without fear of being harassment from the police.
You probable never have anyway and there is probably noway for you to know if the product was made there or not and was probably made in China anyway.... Now China is who you should be boycotting, but you'd probably say that was racial profiling too....
And 70 % of the people in AZ don't really care what you think anyway....
The bolded is really the crux of the issue for me. If people really wanted to stop illegal immigration, they would focus on the folks who hire them.
As for the "law," I anticipate that it will soon be ruled unconstitutional and/or that American citizens of Hispanic descent, who are stopped by the AZ police, sue the state when their rights are violated.

This notion that a hispanic even if they are 3rd generation American should blame illegals for when they get stopped and asked for documents because "they look hispanic, might have "acted?" like a illegal" is so flawed how can someone just say "obey the law of the land".
Well the law of the land is the Bill of Rights and any American deserves it. You can't just brush aside civil rights when it becomes inconvienant.
Open your house, your wallet, your pockets, your car to inspection, never mind a warrent or probable cause, "hey if you aren't doing something wrong you don't have anything to worry about right".
This country has remand free because civilians have numerous rights while government has limited rights, that thought above flies in the face of liberty and opens the door to a police state.
The government has a right and an obligation to enforce it's laws...

Move to Chicago and you will be glad the illegals didn't get across the border. The ones who come to become a citizen will hopefully be working to control their children and maybe U.S. citizens will not have to dodge bullets in order to go to the grocery store.

You can get a state ID in Texas, just prove who you are and that you have a right to get the ID and at the same place you get the DL......
