Gordon, U.S. Rep. Ed Pastor, D-Ariz., and Maricopa County Supervisor Mary Rose Wilcox also spoke at the protest. Pastor, like several other speakers, delivered much of his speech in Spanish.

While many gathered to chastise the governor and Legislature for the law, the Rev. Warren Stewart thanked lawmakers at an interfaith civil-rights event following the Capitol rally.

"You have awakened the 21st century civil-rights movement," Stewart told a standing-room-only crowd gathered inside Phoenix's First Institutional Baptist Church. Attendees jumped to their feet, clapping, as they loudly chanted, "Si se puede" or "Yes we can!"
Immigration law protested by more than 2,500 at state Capitol

What a bunch of craven idiots. I swear the above fools are only going to anger Americans even more.

If civil unrest is what they want, they are sure going to get it. I state this as not a "giddy up cowboy" but as fact. Americans are ticked off! Why in the world would they actually want to go down this route? We sit relatively quiet, watch them foolishly poke the bear and predictably they'll be slapped down quickly if toes are continuously trampled upon.. Not everyone just sits and sends faxes or emails to Representatives. Groups are forming everywhere, ready.

I am so sick of their screams of "si se puede". They should at least have the common sense to use English and to say "yes we can" instead because many if not most of these protesters are American citizens. What are they trying to prove by making demands in a foreign language?

Thousands of illegals come across the border daily and all they could pull together was 2500 people to protest a state actually doing something to stop them?

The thing that jumped out at me in this article was Grijalva's comment regarding "underestimating them". Who is them Grijalva? Is it the American People and out laws you swore to uphold or the illegal pond scum floating across our borders? Call him and ask, I did more then once Tucson District Office:

That was the perfect time to round them all up and start asking for their papers.
