Obama Asks DOJ to Review Arizona Immigration Law – Main Justice

Good, this law should be overturned, quickly. Gives way to much power to police, and its already been tried once. The pilot program resulted in abuse, racial profiling, and lawsuits. (still trying to find the case, but heard it mentioned several times on the morning news)

Also, its Unconstitutional, in the fact that the Federal Government is given the power to secure the borders. Since the Constitution says that this is a Federal power, states can't legally pass an immigration law.

Ridiculous show of arrogance and desperation by this Administration. The Justice Department has no vested powers to overturn State Law. If the law is to be overturned or changed, it will be done through the court system. If DOJ decides to sue AZ, it will put Obama in the precarious position of seeming pro-illegal-immigrant. Conservatives will be further pushed to take Democrats down. Is this guy stupid or what? This is political tomfoolery at its finest. Obama is relying on Latinos to get up and vote for Democrats. Nothing more, nothing less. But the hacks fall for it everytime. It's embarrassing.

How hard do you see the federal government trying to enforce the present immigration laws? They aren't trying very hard so many people have to just suffer from illegals being around. Are there 450,000 illegals living in your state? The people of Arizona should be allowed to defend themselves from criminals and every illegal is a criminal.

I am sure that the man, Holder, who is bound and determined to hold the trials of those terrorists in NYC will certainly declare this one to be illegal. However, only the courts can make that one stand up to law.

Then why don't they do something about the employers? And don't tell me they are, any sanctions are equivalent to a slap on the wrist.

I guess the employers are too white to hate, huh?

This bill is nothing but thinly veiled racism..

Because it is much easier to go after illegals than vested interests

You have to give credit to Arizona, a state that stands up to the crooked socialist in the WH. First they passed a law stating the Chicago thug will not be on the ballot in their state if he doesn't produce his Birth Certificate, and then the immigration law.
They sure kicked Obama's cowardly butt with that one. Look at all the demonstrations it's caused. It's really bringing one of Obama's failures to front and center in the media.. It makes him look like the fool he is, no wonder he is upset.. I couldn't love it more. If he won't do his job, someone has to..!
Once Baglojevich get his miserable butt in court, he might be looking for a new job..! It was Obama that was trying to sell his Senate seat, not Blagojevich... Can't wait until he is forced to pack his bag and get out of town, and hopefully out of the country he hates so much...!

I don't give a rat's behind about what folks think about Sharpton, but when it comes to encapsulating in a very few words, not many are better.

"When you have a law that profiles people -- let's face it you can say whatever you want. When they're saying there's an enormous amount of people coming across the border from Mexico, therefore they're really saying 'We're going to stop people that look like Mexicans to check their identifications.' Which is to profile people based on race,"

"We cannot profile people based on race."

"Two wrongs don't make one civil right,"

Al Sharpton.
