I just saw an interview in Spanish of John Gordon, Mayor of Phoenix who vowed to overturn 1070 himself.

I heard that!

The most mindboggling thing is that TANCREDO HIMSELF dismissed the bill as being ridiculous. Tancredo!! The same guy who fed the anti-immigrant movement so much of their rhetoric.

Or a defender of potential citizens and legal immigrants.

Or in the case of SB 1070, defender of American citizens with brown skin and indigenous features, or legal immigrants with a Spanish accent.

I am all for defending American citizens no matter what their skin color is but what has that to do with asking status of anyone who cannot produce I.D. after a "lawful" stop by LE?

No, Tancredo didn't do that. In fact he recommened it for Colorado. Read my post under the Tancredo topic. The pro-illegals have put their own spin on his words.

Well that is the million dollar question isn't it.
First they complain when we deport illegals who are caught, Then they complain about E-verify, Now its if you even ask immigration status of someone who is pulled over for violating a different law.
Word to the wise don't break the law.
