Did you read the entire article? I did and evidently Customs does investigate you more thoroughly. It is entirely seperate from internal enforcment of immigration laws which is what the new AZ law is about.

Well, my mom was going to college in Stevens Point, and met my dad...do you really need me to fill you in on the details?

Yeah right, you go ahead and try that and you will find out what size handcuffs fit your wrists. If you fail to provide proof of any kind of who you are when asked by law enforcement, you will be detained until you prove it. If you refuse to prove it or you lie, you will be charged with a crime like disorderly persons or providing false identification. They WILL get the information from you one way or another and you are naive to think they won't.

My "proof" is my word. That used to be worth something.

Stop being naive. Cops just take your "word"? LMAO! I see you have never tried that before because you know damn well that if you don't prove with some validity, which CAN be telling them your name, DOB and SS#, which they will check. They are not simply taking your "word" for it. If you lie or simply refuse you will be charged with a crime and it will be up to you to fight it in court.

If I give them that information--that is my word, and they can check if they like. What's wrong would be requiring me to carry documentation on my person at all times so they can check IT. I have no reason to lie, my word is good.

How do I get a new state ID, now that they want a birth certificate? I can't get a birth certificate unless I send them a copy of an unexpired state ID.

That is not true..contact the Dept of Health in the state you were born.
