Cops are the same people who used to be playground bullies. They love to abuse their authority.

What I did tell them after the fourth or fifth time was that I was going to have them sued for harassment if they didn't quit it.

It's useful when you know how to read...USED TO BE indicates a past tense.

Oh, I got picked on, but I fought back. Of course, nowadays the cops carry guns and other weapons on their persons, security blanket, you know.

They like being in positions of authority. Cops, correctional officers, theater ushers...
