Its the fault of the Fed. It is their job to make the nation secure and to enforce border security. They have failed miserably at both jobs. Worse still it was done by intent.

Arizona is merely the gateway to the US that the illegal immigrants take to provide cheap labor to the country. Since word got out that Arizona's border is a joke, now the drug cartels have started using Arizona as a gateway and the crime rates in Arizona have increased.

The blame can be placed on the American public who has an endless appetite for cheap labor and goods, the American businesses who take advantage of the immigrant workers by keeping them scared and uneducated, and the federal government who pays a lot of lip service to the issue but uses words like "concerned" when a state throws up its hands to say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"

If the issue was as simple as "It's all Arizona's fault", the solution would be an easy one. But the reality is that there are millions of illegal immigrants in the USA and not all of them are here because they are seeking out a better life for their families. Here in Colorado, an illegal immigrant with a long criminal record (and a few deportations) got drunk and drove his car right through an ice cream shop and killed a young boy and his family. This person should not have been in this country and the fact that he returned, time and again, and eventually killed someone should not come as a surprise to anyone. There are plenty here who are just taking advantage of the system and have no intention of contributing to the US in a positive way. Since we can't know who is a "good" illegal immigrant and who is a "bad" one, everyone has to be checked. In Arizona, the overwhelming majority of illegal immigrants are Hispanic. Perhaps it would be different if this law was passed in a different state but the fact remains that the illegals DO fit a racial profile and if you're here legally, you have nothing to worry about.
