He needs the issue of legalizing all of these people. His current voting blocks are fleeing his side and he knows it. But a recall is a waste of time and money. by the time anything is decided he will be back up for re-election.

Simple. Based on the laws at the time of their birth, they are citizens. That can't be changed. their parents are not. The law should be changed ASAP to avoid future problems in this area.
2 Extensions he pushed and got. And 3 more hes pushing and Christie supports one.

There are still industrial and manufacturing jobs in New Jersey?

Anywho, I'm not saying to ignore large population centers in these counties. But I've seen many issues that are very important to residents in the other parts of the state that Menendez just doesn't care about. He may not even be against them, per se, he just doesn't care.

It seems like the guy is still stuck in the "machine" mentality of his area up there, and only cares about issues affecting urban voters in these few areas. He might be a perfect guy to elect to the state legislature, but I don't see him "representing" anyone outside of the concrete jungle.

of course Menendez feels the need to defend the "immigrants", its all about votes. My oh my, how possibly could a politician of latino descent not jump on the " save the immigrants" bandwagon?!
it would be a political suicide. He'd be called a disgrace to his race, like some call me.

New Jersey is very much becoming a state that consists of suburbia vs. urban.

Christie's victory last November was a repudiation of Newark, Camden, and urban NJ's social ills, and a repudiation of the continued path toward socialism.

I know it's hard to believe for people like Nexis, but there ARE people in New Jersey who have no desire to live in or near a city and rely on public transportation. Outside of certain urban centers, no one gives a damn about public transport and that makes me smile

Sometime this or next decade i hope to see 60% of the state use PT. You don't have to live in the City or use Mass Transit , but don't destory the rural areas with sprawl and continue to build highways. And about that no one gives a dam , are you really sure about that , because i know people in Rural Sussex County who want train service restored and people in South Jersey who want some more PT aswell. Honestly , our highways are maxed out everywhere. What do you want us to do? Destroy 1000s of homes and create more highways or use abandoned freight lines and convert them to commuter or LRT which is cheaper and quicker to do.

I am sick of paying for their education and medical coverage and I am REALLY sick of being cast as somehow bigoted or a freakin' racist because I want the damn law enforced.

The Left in this country has for years used the race and bigot card, not to mention the Homophobes card to intimidate the vast VAST majority of people in America who want things to be done by the law and not because we "feel sorry"for people. Don't like the law? How about CHANGING THE LAW instead of trashing people who want the law followed?

All of us have been pushed to far by the liberals who despite claiming they are they party which welcomes "all views"' is anything but and really is the Party of "my way or the highway". Your president has done more to divide this nation then any single individual in history. His recent speech calling on blacks, Hispanics and women to keep the liberals in power would, had it been given by a Republican been lead story on the news for weeks and also would have been met with cries of outrage by the print media and the talk show "pundits" on what is left of CNN and MSNBC, not to mention Meet The Press and the other liberal news shows.

There is a huge backlash in America and it is building day by day. Americans do not LIKE being told every time they disagree with a liberal they are a bigot or a racist. The Left will pay a huge price in November and it is long overdue.

Thanks for the racist information. Sorry you feel this wayl.

One of the biggest issues with illegal aliens is they send something like 90% of the money they make back to their own country. Perhaps if they were legal and lived here with their family the money would remain in the USA. Even if we "make" them legal you still have to deal with employers saving money paying them off the books.

But what is the USA doing to close our borders? Nothing. Are we so caught up in this namby pampy BS of not being called racist that we are scared to protect our own land? What a crock. We allow people to enter our country illegally and then feed and school and administer medicine to them....at the expense of our own citizens. I am DISGUSTED with all pathetic weak government (in any and all parties).

Our borders should have been protected a long time ago....the federal Government did nothing and the
border patrol guys had their hands tied..Now when the state of Arizona decides to do something, they
are bigots, racists, etc....go live in Arizona and see how you like all the illegals coming in..I have many
friends that live in Arizona and they are disgusted....maybe this bill was not the ultimate answer, maybe
just maybe it was rushed through like the healthcare bill...but it's a start....stop playing the race card
every time there is something we don't like...Menendez is just like all the other politicians in this country..they do it because they want to stay in office and like their cushy lifestyle, their two homes,
their WONDERFUL healthcare, (not like the rest of us), their lifetime pension....the media is making a
big mess out of this bill in Arizona..My grandparents came here legally from France, Ireland, my grandfather went to school at night to learn English.....you can't say that for the incoming crop of illegals, legals, etc....they want to live here, enjoy our freedoms, our laws but they don't want to speak
our language? what's wrong with that picture.....
