Adriana Miranda leaned against the door frame and started to sob. Her husband hasn't found steady work in a year. Then, on Friday, Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer signed the tough anti-illegal-immigration law that will allow police to arrest illegal immigrants like her. It was the last straw. After seven years in Arizona, the family was moving.
Phoenix resident Adamaris, a 22-year-old undocumented immigrant from Mexico, said she thinks many illegal immigrants will leave Arizona. "The economy is already bad here, and now with this new law ...," she said. "No, we don't want to stay here." Adamaris, who asked that her last name not be used because she is afraid of being deported, said she plans to wait two months to see if the law survives legal challenges before deciding whether to leave.
Is this bad news?
But it gets better...because now lawyers are avoiding Arizona too...
The American Immigration Lawyers Association has vowed to boycott the state of Arizona, canceling their fall national convention at the Scottsdale Marriott...The venue's penalty for canceling the event is approximately $92,000...
And The Arizona Hotel & Lodging Association said the estimated economic value of the cancellations ranges from $5,000 for the smaller groups to $45,000 for the larger.

So, the boycott has cost $45,000 in cancellations but the lawyers have to pay $92,000 for cancelling.
Split the difference? Illegals AND lawyers leaving Arizona in waves...can the news get any better?
the3D's !!! ... Damn Great News !!!
Thanks to an Arizona Govenor with the guts to finally take some positive steps to enhance law enforcements ability to protect the citizens of her state from the hoards of "Illegal Aliens" that should not be there in the first place !
Shame on the gutless Washington "Career Politicians" for their miserable and deliberate failure to take the appropriate action for protection of American Citizens living in states close to our Southern Border !
Arizona has thankfully taken a resolute stand against the "Illegal Alien Plague" in their state ..... hopefully other states will now do the same and "Take Care Of Business" at long last !!!

Well, I guess it's already working....exactly as intended. There is a mayor that we think should welcome them with open arms - San Fran's own Gavin Newsom.

Illegal immigrants plan to leave over Ariz. law
Quote:
"Nobody wants to pick us up," Julio Loyola Diaz says in Spanish as he and dozens of other men wait under the shade of palo verde trees and lean against a low brick wall outside the east Phoenix home improvement store.
Many day laborers like Diaz say they will leave Arizona because of the law, which also makes it a crime to be in the U.S. illegally and directs police to question people about their immigration status if there is reason to suspect they are illegal immigrants.
Supporters of the law hope it creates jobs for thousands of Americans.
all that from less people on welfare wow! try more Americans getting jobs= rentals homes sold purchasing instead of sending money to mexico. mexicans no longer working under the table= more tax revenue
The illegal immigrants who secretly cross over from Mexico has received all the attention and generated most of the heat in the current debate. But it is only half the problem of illegal immigration. The biggest problem we face is caused by those who openly enter our country for a limited period of time-with the express permission of our government- and then refuse to leave. On 9/11, we learned just how seriuos the problem is. It hasn't gotten any better. We should adopt an aggressive program to identify and deport people who have deliberately and illegally overstayed their visas. Half the illegal immigrants who live in the United States came here legally U S government entry visas in hand.Depending on their country of origin and their purpose in coming to thr United States, these visitors were allowed to stay for a specific period of time. When their visas expired, they did not go home.Such visa overstays account for half of the illegal immigrants now living in the United States. The 9/11 terrorists were in this immigrant category-people who entered our country legally, with legitmate visas. Seven of the terrorist had illegally overstayed their visa limits. Despite the well documented problems with these temporary visitors turned permanent immigrants, critics of our system generally ignore them and continue with the preoccupation with the border. No one seems to make a distinction those who entered with visas and those who sneakrd across the border. When it comes to immigrants, America is like somebody who puts bars on his windows, securely bolts his back and side doors, and then leaves the front door unlocked and wide open.We should adopt Mexico's immigration laws.
Illegals can (until a few months ago when the law demanded proof of legal residency) were able to collect benefits via their US born Anchor Babies here in Arizona.
They should all head to San Francisco and when caught get sent to San Francisco. I live in Los Angeles and I am on vacation right now in San Francisco, they do not have an illegal immigration problem like southern cities of Texas, Arizona, California (San Diego and Los Angeles, where I live).
Send them all here to San Francisco and they will get a reality check real quick.

Oh, those racist limousine liberals in San Francisco wouldn't know what to do. I can state with considerable confidence, that these supposed liberals are racist against both brown and black, especially if they show up in their neighborhoods. I say send them ALL to California and with the extra weight you'll see the state sink faster than it already is. Then you'll see California(illegal and not) disperse across America and that is when ALL IMMIGRATION will end.
