Not only can they search you without any crime being commited, they can use race, and get this, if you fail to provide identification, you are presumed guilty. Here is the text from the law
"FOR ANY LAWFUL CONTACT MADE BY A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL OR A LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY OF THIS STATE OR A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL OR A LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY OF A COUNTY, CITY, TOWN OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE WHERE REASONABLE SUSPICION EXISTS THAT THE PERSON IS AN ALIEN WHO IS UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES, A REASONABLE ATTEMPT SHALL BE MADE, WHEN PRACTICABLE, TO DETERMINE THE IMMIGRATION STATUS OF THE PERSON EXCEPT IF THE DETERMINATION MAY HINDER OR OBSTRUCT AN INVESTIGATION PERSON WHO IS ARRESTED SHALL HAVE THE PERSON'S IMMIGRATION STATUS DETERMINED BEFORE THE PERSON IS RELEASED. THE PERSON'S IMMIGRATION STATUS SHALL BE VERIFIED WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT PURSUANT TO 8 UNITED STATES CODE SECTION A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIAL OR AGENCY OF THIS STATE OR A COUNTY CITY, TOWN OR OTHER POLITICAL SUBDIVISION OF THIS STATE MAY NOT SOLELY CONSIDER RACE, COLOR OR NATIONAL ORIGIN IN IMPLEMENTING THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBSECTION EXCEPT TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY THE UNITED STATES OR ARIZONA CONSTITUTION. A PERSON IS PRESUMED TO NOT BE AN ALIEN WHO IS UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES IF THE PERSON PROVIDES TO THE LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER OR AGENCY ANY OF THE FOLLOWING :

• immigration authorities have a record of each foreign visitor;

• foreign visitors are banned from interfering in the country’s internal politics;
• foreign visitors who enter under false pretenses are imprisoned or deported;
• foreign visitors violating the terms of their entry are imprisoned or deported;
• those who aid in illegal immigration will be sent to prison.
Who could disagree with such a law? It makes perfect sense. The Mexican constitution strictly defines the rights of citizens -- and the denial of many fundamental rights to non-citizens, illegal and illegal. Under the constitution, the Ley General de Población, or General Law on Population, spells out specifically the country's immigration policy.

Great, lets strive to be like Mexico. By the way, I see nothing in the Mexican law that allows the police to search Mexican citizens. Is it possible that Mexico has more rights for it's citizens than Americans have in AZ?

Wow. With these criteria we would have to kick out many real Americans also. We can start with the politicians.
Great, lets strive to be like Mexico. By the way, I see nothing in the Mexican law that allows the police to search Mexican citizens. Is it possible that Mexico has more rights for it's citizens than Americans have in AZ?
Mexico will search only non-Mexicans whether they're legal citizens or not. God help you if you're not brown and don't speak spanish.
By the way, the AZ law is against illegal aliens, not legal citizens.
"Reasonable Suspicion" is a code word for, do whatever the hell you want to include racial profiling...If it were anything else the term "probable cause" would've been used.
The vast majority of illegals in Arizona are in fact Mexican, therefore racial profiling makes perfect sense. Arizona has a right to protect itself from the swelling ranks of illegal alien criminals breaking their laws, political correctness be damned.
