“We call things racism just to get attention. We reduce complicated problems to racism, not because it is racism, but because it works.”

- Alfredo Gutierrez

I'm going to begin posting this quote every time someone screams "racism." I encourage others to do the same. Eventually, it'll stop working. Sorry, Mr. Gutierrez. Get a new tactic.

btw when the fence was done we lost our title as #1 cross spot. DC is a sinking ship with 2 men in it furiously pointing at each other.
btw, it was Obama who stopped the construction of the fence.

Just more of the same. There's an agenda behind federal failure to act, and failure to secure our borders. Somebody is profiting, and it's not the American people. Neither are the illegals who are being used and treated unfairly by their employers.

Janet Napolitano, when she was governor, wrote numerous letters to the administration asking that the federal government secure the border and deal will the illegal aliens. She got no response. Now that she's part of the Administration, she's flip flopped. Funny, how easily that happens when all of a sudden your bread is buttered on the other side.

Yesterday Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said in an interview she has written numerous letters to the Administration with no response whatsoever.

With the rate of crime in Phoenix (2nd highest in kidnappings), with people on the border being attacked and killed, with drugs flowing freely into the country...if YOU lived there would you not want your Governor to do something constructive to stop it, since the Federal Government doesn't care?

Why do you suppose that Utah and Texas are drafting similar legislation, now that Gov. Brewer has taken this unusual and courageous step? Maybe it was to force the Administration to act, and if it does that it will be a good thing. It looks like they'll fight it all the way, so maybe they don't care about securing the border.

1) Pat Buchanan suggested building a wall. I'm all for that. Close down international travel as well.

2) Our troops are in the Middle East, Japan, Korea, etc. when they should be patrolling the borders. Shoot all who attempt to cross.

I suppose we shouldn't expect to ever see Gov. Jan Brewer....filling the position that Janet Napolitano now holds.

POTUS?........Maybe.

Homeland Security?........Not so much.

This isn't a discussion for this forum. I'm not going to move it though, but close it. You can start a new thread, hopefully it will be more coherent than this one.
