1) the New Arizona law will do very little to increase numbers of deportations of undocumented aliens, because what the law creates is a mandatory jail time for convicted undocumented aliens. Jail time on top of the jail time the alien is accused for in the initial stop.

2) School children will see the extra cost to Arizona taxpayers of housing all these new convicted criminals and see the population of undocumented aliens is transformend from undocumented workes to total wards of the state.

Yes, school children all across this nation will learn a valuble lesson from the Arizona Law.
Yes, they will. They will learn that crime does not pay nor will it be tolerated. It is a good thing to get criminals off the streets regardless of the costs. In the case of illegal aliens the costs of incarcerating/deporting them are much less than the costs of having them here. They never were "undocumented workers". They are illegal alien law breakers.

Is this just official business in Arizona or including personal travel? Like does this mean a schoolteacher in Denver can't visit the Grand Canyon now?

What else can you see with that crystal ball? Those are some pretty big conclusions to dream up from a law that's not in effect yet.

I'm sure it's official business. Extending something like that to someone's personal travel is going too far even for them.

Yes, school children all across this nation will learn the very valuable lesson that if you break the law and are here illegally and get caught in Arizona you will go to jail and then be deported. Apparently the Left thinks that Arizona won't be enforcing laws against illegals because it would just be too costly? There will probably be a mass exodus of most of these illegals to Mexifornia before Arizona can catch them.

As of 2008, five counties in Colorado - Denver, Douglas, Arapahoe, Garfield and Eagle all had Hispanic populations increase by more than 41 percent.

Hispanics upset over process of selecting new DPS chief

WHY is it these groups get to protest and rant and demand and they are NOT called racists, but if a white tries to assert his or her rights, every minority and sympathizer comes running out yelling RACIST!

ENOUGH WITH THE DOUBLE STANDARD!!!

Apart from the landscape, Colorado is Nowhereville. We spent a few months there, no thanks. Some of the rudest people I've ever encountered. (I'm used to Texas-friendly.)

Not difficult at all to figure out why the DPS is doing this.

Perhaps a full-scale investigation into the employees and hiring practices of the Denver Public School system is in order . . . ?

Hello, Federal Government . . . oh, I'm sorry, I know you're too busy investigating Joe Arpaio and Arizona for racial profiling and other "pc" toe-stepping violations . . .

What does Denver know anyway? If it isn't an official sanctuary city, it ought to be......

There, that was easy!
Obviously anything that the Denver public school district says will have no actual effect on Arizona, so the Denver public school leftists are just part of the leftist amnesty democrats trying to add to the size of the smokescreen boycott to make the boycott appear much larger than it actually is.

I hate to say this but I think that Arizona school districts would be fully justified in their own restriction of AZ school district budgets for travel to Denver also from $0 to......well, $0.

Really?? The "undocumented aliens" won't just find it easier to go to california and colorado??

Maybe at first this might happened.. but unless they are really really stupid and dumb I would think they would figure it out!

Either way is fine with me.. spend the money to jail them... at least we will be spending millions for Justice then spending millions for injustice and letting a cancer with in our borders to erode our nation.. greedy politicians and apathy are destroying this country.. You think Greece was the end of the financial disaster... its just the beginning.. how long can we allow anyone who wants to come cross our borders and steal... we have done this to ourselves and the future is financial collapse... our dollars are going to be peso's... and when the interest on all our debt is raised... good luck!

This is why we need to close the southern border, NOW America, You Asked For It!
