I don't believe they're leaving. They may leave one region and relocate to another region of the USA but the last thing they're doing is giving up the easy money, the better pay, the food stamps, free health care to go home where they'd have to work hard for a living.

I believe that when they start giving a damn about their own country is when things in their own country will begin to improve, including the violence that is spreading throughout that country.

When they actually see their own country as their future, they'll want to defend it from evil forces that threaten to take it, they'll work to make their neighborhoods safer, they'll build it. People who don't see packing up and moving from their country as the simple solution, will put some effort like neighborhood watches and reforms of their governments into place.

.

Ah malamute... your sense of wonder and delirium isn't just restricted to the Mexico forum.

Food stamps? Have you ever tried to apply for it? My American friend with 3 kids and a housewife on an hourly wage applied for it... DENIED. It's hard to get on foodstamps. I don't know what fantasy lala land you live in...

Free healthcare? LOL! Didn't we just go through months of tumult about this very issue? Maybe if they visit emergency rooms... and yes they do crowd 'em.. that i won't disagree with... but as far as regular checkups? Nah... they definitely dont get free dental and eyecare. And if one gets cancer, or any sort of serious treatable illness... he/she is screwed, until it gets emergency room bad.

yeah... they're just living the good life malamute.

They are. It's been proven. Poke around in here and learn something regarding how illegal aliens abuse our health and welfare systems, how they do it and how they are HELPED to do it. There are two sets of laws. One for Americans and one illegals, off the books of course. . I agree, they are "on alert" to go to their own homeland and many already applying for papers in the need they will have to flee but will simply relocate as the heat gets close and will only leave the country if necessary. meaning the monies are gone or they face serious jail... Past actions are a great predictor of the future.

You're friend has several things going against him when it comes to welfare handouts. 1. American. 2. Married 3. Employment with documented wages.

The way to do it is be a poor impoverished foreigner, unmarried, and no documented wages. Then you can have whatever cash under the table wages and consider yourselves common-law marriage for social purposes but for welfare handout purposes you're still single.

Why else would people be willing to take those very low paying jobs Americans don't want to take and still have more kids by far than working Americans?

One case I knew of personally. Single mother with 3 teens born in the USA, but, living off welfare obtained from the kids. Mom's boyfriend also lived in the household but he was legal and working. His income was fine but didn't count as they weren't legally married, and the government provided free housing and utilities so he didn't have to pay rent or electric. Then a pregnant niece and her boyfriend moved up from the city of Chihuahua, stayed in the same household until after their baby was born and they would be given their own housing and foor stamps. Oh - and any medical care was free too. Except maybe for the mom's boyfriend who had a job with verifiable income.

Another case I knew of personally - both parents here illegally, 4 kids born in the USA and so bringing in welfare but the mother would occasionally work for cash which she didn't have to report, he worked quite a lot also for cash but sent the money back home to his other family - wife and kids somewhere in Mexco. No medical care costs at all for any of the births of the kids or for routine visits including dentists for the kids as they were given Medicaid. The 4 kids brought in a lot of food stamps and WIC but also 2 free meals each at the school every day.

This family had another man listed on all 4 birth certificates, someone with a green card which was curious at first. Later I found out that they made this deal with him for a very good reason. He is disabled but here legally and so has disability income and by claiming the 4 kids gets the EITC and child credits and so gets a whooping big check from the IRS which the three adults then split.
