The liberals on the far left whine about a "police state"......Well....you refuse to enforce the immigration statues and let the country decay and tumble toward ever increasing drug-gang violence and soon people will BEG to have a "police state"....giving them broad powers to do anything to curb the endlessly escalating violence!

Imagine...If we had taken a stand on ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION DECADES AGO....there would be NO NEED to resort to even more tough "draconian" measures now.....but it looks increasing like draconian measures....even possible military action may be what it takes to solve the problem.....Too bad stupid limp liberals lead us down that path....but that is what you get. Loose enforcement now....leads to extreme enforcement later.....
Much better to have regular enforcement all the time and avoid the extremes....altogether....

This all could be solved by placed our military on the Mexican border with the orders to shot any trespasser who comes across the border without proper paperwork.

We need to fill our SW states with military might and have then take care of this mess once and for all.

Give our military the authority to clean up our streets of the terrorist illegals from Mexico.

Afterall they are terrorist and it is Bubba job to protect us from terrorist and he could use the military to do so.

But then again he is weak on keeping terrorist out of our country.

The whole problem is the result of the federal government not only failing to do it's job but to encourage illegals to break the laws of this country. But it goes further than that. A whole lot of corruption not just on Mexico's side. Much corruption of course on the USA side in the governments.

We accuse the Mexican government of failing to enforce laws which allowed the cartels to take power. However look at the USA side too -- the federal government knew full well that the cartels were shipping tons of drugs over the border but didn't do anything to enforce any border. So of course the drugs came over and the drug traffickers and dealers. They would haul weapons back into Mexico and that was also allowed. And anyone could cross the border for absolutely any reason, nothing was done about that.

So millions came over - some to work as landscapers and housekeepers, working for cash, using no stolen ID documents. Some to commit felony document fraud and ID theft to take high paying jobs Americans would be glad to do. Some to have children here because they know it costs them nothing but allows them to stay and never worry about being deported, and also the children bring welfare handouts the whole family can share. Some of course are here for the business of the cartels, stealing vehicles to take back over the border, drug smuggling, distribution, and dealing.

No one can stereotype the illegals as all good hardworking people because none of them filed any papers, went through any kind of background check or showed much inclination to abide by laws in the first place.

Some try not to break too many other laws, but many will break whatever law doesn't suit them. Some are violent criminals. All kinds are pouring over the border.

Precisely why the border has to be secured first before immigration reform is even discussed! If Mexico doesn't like that too f%#king bad. That's pretty much like a homeowner who wants to put a alarm system on his house but his next door neighbor is protesting because he finds it offensive!

Thank God, the Sheriff Deputy was released from the hospital. Now, we need to put our efforts into closing the border.

and the neighbor also finds it offensive because he has been robbing your home.

as long as our borders are not secure, we can't control what types of people come across and the bottom line is that this endangers all citizens.

So obviously, if you were diagnosed with cancer, you would just stick your head in the sand and ignore it? Because that is what illegal immigrants are to American citizens, a cancer. Blaming this incident on Arizona's bill is a lame act. I hope that is not your intention.

Look at the difference between these articles:

Arizona deputy wounded in desert shootout found - Yahoo! News (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100501/ap_on_re_us/us_arizona_deputy_shot - broken link)
They are correctly labelled as smugglers.

Pinal Co. Deputy Shot by Illegal Immigrants During Traffic Stop (http://www.myfoxphoenix.com/dpp/news/local/pinal-co-deputy-shot-4-30-2010 - broken link)
Here they are labelled as "illegal immigrants".

Simpletons are too stupid to see the hate they are being fed!
You NEED to get your "facts" straight this about Illegal Alien Criminals not legit. LEGAL immigrants.Everyone here can see you SPIN your agenda.
