White Americans are also immigrants. Did you not study American history in high school?
Are you like really young? If so, I apologize and will not debate the issue with you.

Keep up with this lunacy and you can expect more of this:

In a letter to the school, University of Arizona President Robert Shelton said the college is feeling the effects of the state's new immigration law -- by losing students.

Enjoy, you reap what you sow.

FOX is only "Fair and Balanced" to the unbalanced. Even FOX freely admits publicly that they doctor the news to make a point.

If they were truly balanced their commentators would drool out of both sides of their mouths.

The issue grows. Congress will have to act. I am hoping at least one Repub will take his/her job seriously.

[quote=jetgraphics;13997386]The apparent reluctance on the part of the Federal government to enforce the laws pertaining to illegal immigrants / undocumented aliens begs the question: why?

/QUOTE]

Simpler than you think, in my opinion. The Republicans wanted cheap labor for business. Turn a blind eye to illegal immigration. You don't want them legal (because then they won't be so cheap) but don't stop them from coming into the country, either, to keep that cheap labor flowing. The Democrats saw illegal immigrants with stars in their eyes, just like they see every downtrodden group of poor people. Promise them everything, give them freebies, we'll give them a path to citizenship when we're in power and then we'll stay in power forever. It's been going on for decades. The only difference now is with Democrats in power in both the White House and Congress, the opportunity the Democrats have been dreaming of is now staring them in the face.

It's also why, in my opinion, they don't care about sticking it to old people (Obamacare as it will eventually shake out if new add-ons make insurance companies go down) who will turn on them. They can replace them as a voter group with illegal turned citizen Hispanics.

The unions see them with stars in their eyes. They are an opportunity to bring in the bucks as massive numbers of dues paying blue collar union members. The Catholic Church sees them with stars in their eyes because they're Catholic and swell the numbers of parishioners that had been fading from their church and as potential priests. I don't think the Catholic Church would even be one fourth as vocal if the illegals were Baptists.

But then there was a glitch. This darn recession. Who is out of work more disproportionately than America on average? Blacks. The other voter group Democrats count on to keep them in power. You give all of these illegal Mexicans a path to citizenship, pretty soon they won't be "doing the jobs Americans won't do" they'll be competing for the all of the jobs Americans are doing now held by blue collar African Americans (and white blue collar Americans, too). I'm thinking the blue collar unemployed African Americans, who traditionally vote Democrat, are thinking about this when they see all of these pro-illegal demonstrations. Having a few million of them legalized when blue collar jobs are disappearing, what will that mean for me?

The reason we have immigration laws on the books is to pick and choose the numbers we let in this country, to benefit this country and not cause a burden on the American taxpayer by letting in a massive number of poor people. But our politicians in both parties never saw it that way. They just saw cheap labor and keeping the party in power. That's why now, after decades of ignoring the illegal immigration impact, we're in this mess. It's not that they are Hispanic, it's that they are poor (and some criminal), that is creating the burden. Do you think if a massive number of Mexican doctors and scientists, for example, were running over the border there would be a problem?

Europeans and Canadians cross the border illegally on a regular basis also.

The only people who are here legally are Native Americans and Black people.
Human beings are not illegal, but they often engage in “illegal” behavior. A non-citizen, irrespective of nationality, who chooses to circumvent our immigration laws, is aptly labeled an illegal alien. This does not negate their human status. Rather, it serves to distinguish law-abiding individuals from violators. If they don’t want to be labeled illegal, they should choose the “legal” path. It’s just that simple.

Can you substantiate your claim that Asians outnumber Hispanics among the illegal alien population?

BTW, we do in fact have “black” illegal aliens. As a matter of fact, due to a recent catastrophic earthquake, our government granted asylum to thousands of black illegal aliens.

Does this ring a bell?
