As it is, there are at least 200 cases nationwide in which legal residents and U.S. citizens have been arrested and detained, sometimes for months, Menendez said. He raised the possibility of that situation intensifying unless a national law is passed.
"Who among us will be happy if we were detained simply because of the way we look, the manner in which we speak and the color of our skin?" Menendez said at the Capitol Hill press conference.
"Latinos and others do not believe that they are second-class citizens of this country," he added. "I have nothing in my possession that proves I’m a United States citizen. I don’t carry my birth certificate. I don’t carry my passport."
Doesn't this melodramatic hispanic ass kisser have a driver's license? How does this hispanic ass kisser expect the country to get rid of 20 million uninvited unwanted illegal alien border jumpers? He's better get his immigration law overhaul done before Nov because he's stepping down and there will be a major reduction by then of amnesty democratic politicians in Congress.

Interesting how he's not doing anything to create jobs for millions of unemployed Americans.
It seems this politician isn't about the American people at all, in spite of very high unemployment and falling wages, the only thing he's trying to do is bring in more foreigners to take jobs and of course government handouts.
How can any politician be so foolish to beleve we need unlimited and illegal immigration when unemployment rates are 10% and in many cities 25%?
As far as this guy, Americans can go to hell, he wants this country for his foreign "raza".

Since only 6%-8% of the Obama administration has ever had any experience working in the private sector, leftist amnesty democrats flat out don't even know how to create jobs in the private sector. All leftist amnesty democrats know how to do is to grow government. Well, he's for unlimited illegal immigration as long as these "immigrants" will more than likely to be future democratic voters if amnestied.

I certainly do not condone the arrest and detainment of innocent people. However, citizens are often accused, arrested, prosecuted, and convicted of crimes they did not commit. Immigration law does not hold exclusive claims to that. As long as humans are involved in criminal investigations, mistakes will be made. It’s unfortunate, but it is reality.

Freddie Peacock of Rochester, New York, was convicted of rape in 1976. Last week he became the 250th person to be exonerated by DNA testing since 1989. According to a new report by the Innocence Project, those 250 prisoners served 3,160 years between them; 17 spent time on death row. Remarkably, 67 percent of them were convicted after 2000—a decade after the onset of modern DNA testing. The glaring question here is, How many more are there?
