Are you implying that illegal aliens and their children are not able to use the McKinney-Vento Act for their benefit, and that schooling illegals doesn't cost anything?

Then why did you state that this thread has evolved into not being about illegal immigration? Care to explain your position?

When you are into a requirement that applies to all residents it would not be specific to illegal aliens.

So there is no let out to registration requirements that applies to illegals as opposed to others...which was the thesis put forth.

...As well as posts about schoolkids coming from Mexico through a U.S. Port of Entry are off-topic for the forum area of illegal immigration...

My post regarding the Act was in response to those posters who were discussing the phenomenon of illegal aliens beelining their children through the registration process to enroll their kids in school with no documentation. It is relevant to the thread, and is on topic.

I did not notice anyone saying that the Act applies exclusively to illegals - as a matter of fact, one poster stated that they demanded the school apply the same leniency towards his citizen children to get them into school without having to jump through hoops. Can you point out the post or posts where what you state was actually said?
