Im in the electrical field. We have very little problem with illegals.
Every person has to carry a workers card. Everyone has to put in
4 yrs, and pass a journeymans test. Our wages are good. The demand
is high for our guys. When you get your license you earn respect from others.
If all the other construction trades were like us, than you wouldnt see the problems you do today.

Come to my town where they are building a fancy gated community and they are all using day labor to do it...........you will see these guys putting in the wiring and plumbing in these homes and then the electrician comes and says he did it all. None of the workers speak english and a lot of them are teenagers so what kind of experience could they really have in the constuction business, I'd hate to have one of these half mil homes when the next hurricaine comes thru here.
