Well I will say that I didn't see anything in any articles that showed either the victim or his brother were trying to stop the quarrel - the brother showing up only made it worse - and I'm sure he knew that. And kicking the perp was certainly not because the victim was trying to avoid a fight.

Normal people would have called in the police. Normal people don't accept drunken neighbors coming over to have words. Kicking someone already intoxicated and angry isn't how you calm a situation down. The victim is still a victim - but it sure looks to me like this was a typical brawl that went out of control.

yep keep blaming the victim cause the dead guy knew that was gonna be his last day on earth. NORMAL people dont kill Based on skin color. NORMAL people dont kill while throwing racial slurs so your self defense argument Does not go here. Only a racist dispicable person kills another while throwing racial slurs. Those who dehumanize brown people no matter if they are citizens have no problem killing them bacause they dont see them as humans but as inferior species that they can get opress and get away with it

The same can be said of hate crimes committed against whites, asians and any other racial group. So why are you singling out "brown" people? You apparently have a victimhood mentality and are hung up on skin color.

there are dumb racist people in every color and in every state and in every country in the world...why is it so surprising that they found one in Arizona?
there is going to be racism whether there is a law like this or not... don't use existing hate as a crutch to blame a new law
People will kill other people over a 20 dollar bill...
in case nobodies noticed..there's a lot of stupidity in the world...

This was a brawl -- 3 men, 2 against one, at least one drunk but most likely all three drunk. It turned from verbal fighting to physical when the victim began to kick the perp.

There is no way this was about an innocent law abiding kind of guy with a Spanish last name just getting killed - and you know it.

It was a drunken brawl and a gun was pulled.

Now it's obvious you didn't care one iota about Krenz - the rancher killed on his own property, not in a drunken fight at all, and you didn't care about the high school student Jamiel Shaw who was killed while minding his own business -- even though those were clearly race motivated, you don't care -- because those cases and many like them don't suit your agenda.

A crime is a crime ... and I would suggest that all crimes have some kind of hatred behind them, so it really makes no sense to label certain crimes "hate crimes", and others not so. What about the rancher in SE Arizona who was killed by an illegal alien? That was never labeled a "hate crime" ... neither was the shooting of the sheriff in Pinal County, Arizona. Oh, but it's instantly a "hate crime" the minute a white/non Hispanic person does something to a member of the Latino race, huh?

Anybody who commits murder deserves the ultimate punishment ... and it doesn't matter what the murderer's race, skin color, citizenship, gender, age, religion, sexual preference, or mental state is! So please, enough of this "hate crime" nonsense. Labeling crimes against minorities as hateful, but not crimes against non minorities, is discrimination ... and pretty racist in my opinion.

This is hardly an illegal immigration issue. As emotions run high, as shown by the op, I don't think we need to fuel them with threads like this.
