Most will admit that they want to decrease the amount of "legal" immigrants to the US. It's not just illegal immigrants they want to reduce, but also legal immigrants.

I believe there's a forum here for legal immigration. You may want to post this there instead.

How can you even make this thread? Do you have some special magical ability that allows you to go ahead and just decide what people are thinking and what they stand for? I am against illegal immigration, but I have no thoughts against legal immigration. I KNOW me, you DONT know me, so I can say that you are wrong.

Look up FAIR, the group behind much of the anti-"illegal" rhetoric, and SB 1070 and similar laws.

Actually right now with unemployment rates as high as they are, I'm all for putting a moratorium on all immigration, until employment rates drop below 5%.

It is not fair or doing America and Americans any good to allow other nations to benefit from us when we are in a bind ourselves.

By reading what they write, like this post for example.

So what is wrong with common sense as in the above?

Look I'll make this easy. If My bank balance is $1.50 I'm going to stop spending til I replenish my funds. Does this mean I'm 'against' spending? It just means that I understand that to keep the spending pattern the same will cost me a hell of a lot more than I can afford.
To put a cap on immigration until we get our country's financial house in order is just good sense.

What anti-illegal rhetoric? Please, explain. SB 1070 is based on federal law and will help to remove illegal aliens from the state of Arizona. You have a problem with that?

So what is wrong with that especially since our country is struggling economically and so many Americans are out of work? We already have over 300 million people in this country now. We are also suffering shortages of many resources in our country. I would be for a moratorium on legal immigration temporarily or a reduction in it until we can get this illegal immigration mess straighted out and we can be a financially sound country again.
