Yep - seems like a no brainer to me.

The Arizona law is nothing compared to Mexico's strict immigration policy.

I read in another article that tourism in AZ, up till last week had lost between $5 million and $10 million.
Excellent. This should result in a much needed purge of illegals out of the AZ tourist industry. The illegals that don't flee to Mexifornia because of SB1070 will move to Mexifornia when they become unemployed due to the radical left amnesty democrat's ridiculous boycott.

California politicians will likely try to find the funding for the increased needs for government programs by raising taxes on working Californians. The taxpayers will leave.
You hit it right on the head, and unfortunately for me I live in Southern California. right now the unemployment rate is at 14% in my city and climbing. we have to keep in mind that the unemployment rate does not include discouraged workers, or people that are underemployed. I am one of those unemployed that are back in school, and see firsthand the effects of Illegal Immigration in my state. I dread the western flight of Illegal Immigrants, and know it is only going to get worse.

It's typical that CNN would keep harping on the negative aspects: "AZ could lose $90 million" as opposed to "AZ could save over $90 million" in illegal alien costs to state.

When you abuse a privilege that has been extended to you, guess what??

You don't get that privilege.

If your not an American, you are give privileges that are Americans rights. Please don't get it confused, or you may find yourself on a slow boat to South Mexico.

2004 - Arizona

1. Analysis of the latest Census data indicates that Arizona’s illegal immigrant population is costing the state’s taxpayers about $1.3 billion per year for education, medical care and incarceration.
http://www.fairus.org/site/DocServer/azcosts2.pdf?docID=101

2. Arizonans spend approximately $810 million annually on education for illegal immigrant children and fortheir U.S.-born siblings.
http://www.fairus.org/site/DocServer/azcosts2.pdf?docID=101

3. HEALTH CARE. Uncompensated medical outlays for health care provided to the state’s illegal alien population is now estimated at about $400 million a year.
http://www.fairus.org/site/DocServer/azcosts2.pdf?docID=101

4. INCARCERATION. The cost of incarcerating illegal aliens in Arizona prisons and jails amounts to about $80 million a year. (not including the monetary costs of the crimes that led to their incarceration).
http://www.fairus.org/site/DocServer/azcosts2.pdf?docID=101

5. The unauthorized immigrant population pays some state and local taxes that go toward off setting these costs, but they do not come near to matching the expenses. The total of such payments might generously be estimated at $257 million per year.
http://www.fairus.org/site/DocServer/azcosts2.pdf?docID=101

6. The fiscal costs of illegal immigration do not end with these three major cost items. The total costs of illegal immigration to the state’s taxpayers would be considerably higher if other costs such as special English instruction, school nutrition programs, or welfare benefits for American workers displaced by illegal alien workers were added into the equation.
