High schools should not be allowed to use the kids as political pawns. This school that cancelled the trip is a disgrace. Who are they to speak for ALL students in that school? Who are they to tell Arizona how to run their state and deal with their illegal alien drug smugglers?

I wonder if they will also boycott South Carolina the way the NCAA does because of the Confederate flag.

HIghland Park is an ultra-rich suburb of Chicago, one of those places filled with white guilt and Christian guilt so its not surprising this took place there. These people never encounter illegals except those that clean their houses, mow their lawns and work at Taco Bell (their kids are too snotty to take a job at Taco Bell when they're 16 unlike in most of America.) I wonder how these same people would feel if half the houses on their street were filled with illegals with 20 living in each house their reactions would be different. I am a minority myself and with these liberals its all about principle and theory and what sounds good, they think their intellectuallism and fancy degrees can overcome their lack of real world experience (which does not consist just of charity trips to Central America or Thailand and speaking SPanish to the cashier at Taco Bell and learning how bad El Salvador is) .

In fact these people are the most racist if forced to deal with diversity. I am from the South and many so called "rednecks" including those with the rebel flags actually who are good friends with black, Hispanic and Asian Americans. My friend's buddy in contrast came down from an exclusive all-white wealthy community in Long Island and was a classic northern liberal. After a year of living in Baltimore it is hard for him to refer to his neighbors without using the N word and other racial slurs and this is a guy who used help homeless people in Queens but never had to live around them. And now this guy thinks ALL black people are like the ghetto types he lived around in Baltimore and openly says he wants to settle down in an area with no blacks. He knows nothing of the black and Hispanic farmers and cowboys in other parts of the nation.

These liberals' hypocrisy is shocking and ridiculous. And now this school district wants to deny these girls a chance to fufill their dreams. I do NOT agree with mixing politics and sports. I am a staunch Republican and Christian and anti-socialist but whenever I think of the boycott of the Moscow Olympics in 1980 I think about those American and other Western athletes who trained so hard and had their dreams shattered. My ancestors are Chinese and lived through the communist revolution and I have no love for communist China, and believe Tibet should become independent if they choose, but disagreed with people calling for a boycott of Beijing. And its arrogant for one school official to decide FOR each player whether to go or not. If an individual player chooses to not play then that's her choice.

Maybe thise Hobsen lady needs to travel to some parts of Chicago that are filled with illegals. Maybe spend a day imbedded with the illegal gangs which are numerous throughout the country. I'm sure the vast majority of people in the Chicago area and the state of Illinois do not support illegal immigration.

Seriously? Who cannot see right through that bogus claim.
It is personal feelings to "boycott" anything Arizona. The school should be ashamed.
The players want to go and the parents are in agreement that the schools claim is either over reacting, or it is motivated by politics. They say it is OK for their kids to go.

It is unconstitutional to single out one state.
Where?

You clearly don't know anything about the area.

From now on, I'm drinking Delaware Punch. That Arizona Iced tea comes with too many 'strings attached'. Why take a chance? After all, the Grand Canyon is impressive...but really, it's just an example of out-of-control soil erosion..Hardly worth the risk of being 'detained', if you ask me.
First of all both violations can get you the same results in any state. Second, your wife received a ticket on an indian reservation and has nothing to do with Arizona, they are not under state law.

So just what were you at "risk" of?

As someone already mentioned, Arizona Iced tea is from New York. More proof of knee-jerk reaction.

You may not know this but macmeal is totally anti-illegal immigration and most of his posts are just sarcasm.

See how stupid that sounds. Sorry, I find hypocrites ridiculous.
Sorry....Let me clarify my statement. Every right wing Rebulican that I have ever come in contact with. My office is full of them.

It is unconstitutional to single out a state for any reason. All states must be treated equally.

If they had said they were boycotting all states, that would be different.

I asked where, not for an explanation.
