The mayor is full of hot air. He must be up for re-election. There are laws already on the city's books which cover this issue. When a person is arrested, their fingerprints are usually taken. There is no way to know whether or not a person is illegal, unless there is information from ICE on them in the computer system. Or they admit to it. Unless, of course, you know differently? It may be different from state-to-state.

Orange County Main Jail in Santa Ana is putting Immigration Holds on criminals and this is their next stop after being arrested.
