Mexican President Felipe Calderon has been ripping into Arizona's immigration law as he tours Washington -- while appearing to disregard the way his own country cracks down on immigrants along Mexico's southern border.
Mexico repeatedly has been cited by human rights groups for abusing or turning a blind eye to the abuse of migrants from Central America. Until recently, Mexican law made illegal immigration a criminal offense -- anyone arrested for the violation could be fined, imprisoned for up to two years and deported. Mexican lawmakers changed that in 2008 to make illegal immigration a civil violation like it is in the United States, but their law still reads an awful lot like Arizona's.
Mexican Presidente Felipe Calderon has big stones coming to the US to bash our immigration laws, especially the new Arizona law, when Mexico's immigration laws are among the toughest in the world! I'd like to see a group of Americans go to the Plaza de la Constitución, which is the central plaza in Mexico City D.F., and start waving a bunch of American flags like Mexicans in the US wave Mexican flags with impunity! The Americans with the American flags will quickly become "guests" of the Mexican penal system to their horror and consternation!

Thanks for posting the video link. Our dumb*ss politicians firmly believe in the saying "Mi tierra es su tierra" (My land is your land)! It's a matter of political correctness, pandering to minority voting groups and forgetting that the name of our country is the United States of America, not the "United States of Mexico-America"!

Again, I am a firm believer in an Immigration Mirror Law.
When found to be in the United States Of America illegally, you will be treated EXACTLY like a United States Citizen would be treated in YOUR country when found there illegally.

The problem is, congress would NOT have the intestinal fortitude to pass such a law, and bho would not sign it, for fear of upsetting some foreign dignitary.

The bottom line is that the US and its politicians have become a bunch of pus*ies when it come to defending the autonomy of the United States! The Obama administration and the rest of the political Socialists rail at the appearance of Presedente Hugo Chavez at the UN, and then turn around and kiss the *ss of the more refined Chavez clone from Mexico because he speaks semi-fluent English! My Spanish is twice as good as Calderon's "pig English"! The sight of the the political pus*ies in Congress rising to give Calderon a standing ovation when he was trashing the immigration laws of the United States was more than my stomach could take!

If said Americans were in Mexico illegally, if they had been allowed to work for more than a decade, if they had been allowed to get loans, purchase homes, have a ITIN number, if this would happen to millions of Americans that had set roots in Mexico establishing families, children and great grandchildren....

I would be right next to them protesting. There are consequences for everything.

Don't worry. The mainstream media will go out of its way to completely ignoring Mexico's harsh, racist anti-immigration laws, too.

Media ignore Mexican gov't brutality of Central American immigrants

Send Calderon back to dump that is his country. When are the CITIZENS of the U.S. going to stand up for our own country and understand why Arizona is doing what it is doing.

The U.S. government needs to enforce the immigration/border laws, PERIOD!

If you stole my car, used my car for 10 years, had sex in my car for 10 years should you be allowed to keep it and no penalty?
LOL Keep it I don't want it anymore. But I still want the criminal that stole it to be punished.
They made a choice to break our laws. Made a choice to keep breaking our laws. You are right there are consequences.
