3,000 to 5,000 illegals breaking into the US every day, day after day, year after year, with no effective enforcement from ICE because of political reasons and this clown doesn't need anyone telling him how to do his job? The natural progression resulting from ICE refusing to do their job, again, for political reasons is for Arizona and the 17 plus states (so far) wanting to enact a law like AZ SB1070 will be for states to pass their own deportation laws. Again, the states will do the job the traitorous fed gov refuses to do.

Well, ya know....

Maybe if the feds would do their job and enforce immigration laws already in place, overwhelmed states wouldn't have to do it for them.

The statistics overwhelmingly show that the Federal government gets a great, big red F when it comes to immigration enforcement.

Which they obviously have not been doing their job since 1986.

Are you old enough to remember that big mistake?
What did that accomplish, again?

Lol.. well it was half accomplished, amnesty was given. Guess the Fed's forgot about the other half of that deal- had so many loopholes in the hiring issue it was like swiss cheese. I am going to cry when some lopsided bill is passed again under the guise of "Immigration Reform". They should just call it amnesty and be done with it.

Arizona or any other state can write any law it wishes. If Arizona wants to write a Deportation law...so be it.

SB1070 does little...will do very little to change the problems Arizona has with undocumented aliens improperly being in Az. This 15 min of attention Az has garnished is so over. Az's next media grab will be the new Deportation bill. Its clear these laws are not meant to fix immigration problems, its to keep Arizona in the National limelight. Because without Federal funds and help, Arizona is powerless to solve any of there own immigration problems caused by the good folk of arizona.

Lets be clear, when times were booming and cheap labor was needed, nary a peep was heard out of Az. Now with that cheap labor force is looking for State funds to survive, Az is more than ready to kick them to the curb[border].

You reap what you sew Arizona, now your cheap labor aint so cheap.
Hey Arizona why do you think undocumented workers were in your state...the weather, JOBS and someone in AZ was suppling them.

As my grandfather used to say...the cheap cost you more.

Your last sentence says it all. After years and years of abuse by corrupt employers, Arizona citizens have found that the illegal's social costs far outweigh any so-called benefits. Just like anything else. Things come to ahead and that is what is happening not only in Arizona but across the country. The majority of Americans did not want them here anyway regardless of any so-called savings to them (which there never was).

You fail to realize how many Americans are out of work now and that makes a difference because of the numbers of illegals that kept increasing by leaps and bounds every year. No, law abiding Americans were never ok with it even when times were good but the feds refused to secure our borders.

If SB1070 will do little to rid Arizona of illegal aliens then why are the pro-illegals screaming so loud?

Wow. The leftist stooges go beserk over AZ SB1070 and now one of them says that SB1070 won't have much effect on Arizona's illegal alien problem? You mean other than cause a mass exodus of Arizona's illegals to mexifornia don't you? While illegal labor is cheap for a few industries, illegal labor is/was never cheap labor because of the cost to taxpayers for the baggage they bring (ruined school systems, overwhelmed ERs, incarceration, etc) and yes apparently Arizona is now ready to kick the illegals to the, sob, curb [border].
