Is Mexican a race???
I have always wondered when the race of Mexican happened.
What is a negro born in Mexico???
IMO, Mexican is a culture.
How does a new race just "happen"???

Haha, the term 'negro' isn't really currently considered acceptable nomenclature, but many Mexicans call themselves Chicanos and recognize themselves as a separate ethnic group. Ethnic groups can be multi-racial.

Because "Negro" would be the race...Chicano would be the ethnicity (if they were among those Mexicans inclined to see themselves that way). Chicanos could be white, native, black, or (as is most often the case) multi-racial.
Or are you asking why the Mexican government still uses the term "negro"? I think it's obvious they have a lot of issues.
