I have always wondered when the race of Mexican happened.

What is a negro born in Mexico???

IMO, Mexican is a culture.

How does a new race just "happen"???

Haha, the term 'negro' isn't really currently considered acceptable nomenclature, but many Mexicans call themselves Chicanos and recognize themselves as a separate ethnic group. Ethnic groups can be multi-racial.

Negro? Lol. Something tells me I know where you're going with this. To answer you, bigotry can be about lots of things besides race.

You don't know. I own land in Honduras.

My friend Albert's passport from Mexico, where he was born states his race as negro.

Because "Negro" would be the race...Chicano would be the ethnicity (if they were among those Mexicans inclined to see themselves that way). Chicanos could be white, native, black, or (as is most often the case) multi-racial.

Or are you asking why the Mexican government still uses the term "negro"? I think it's obvious they have a lot of issues.
