Since it is an enforcement issue who else is involved but the police? They have to implement the law yet are not sure they want to [due to manpower resources] and concerns over litigation.

The word "they" so far is a very small minority. Can you show me who all these "they" people are?

When the top police officials of the state issue statements opposing the law it is like civil disobedience.

You have shown one police chief so far. does that account for the "top police official(s)? one chief not happy is not a concerted effort towards civil disobedience.

Some police officers have already filed lawsuits against Arizona

2 officers out of how many? is there a class action in this lawsuit?

and police chiefs in other states [Maryland\ Nevada\ California] have voiced opposition.

Do they have to enforce this law? does this concern them at all? when were these statements made? is it relevant at all to Arizona?

The Spectator - Arizona immigration law divides police across US (http://www.su-spectator.com/news/arizona-immigration-law-divides-police-across-us-1.1482004 - broken link)
That article is a regurgitation of the last one you posted, same 2 cops and same police chief.

In order for you to prove this issue is "dividing" or that "many oppose it" you have to show more than a couple examples after the amendments of SB 1070.

Mccain co-authored the last amnesty bill during the bush administration. He is the last person I would want to rely on when it comes to this issue. Do some reading on it, it was recently he did the 180 on Illegal Immigration, out of fear of losing his senate seat.

McCain Are you being facetious? He has flipped so much over the past few years it is hard figuring where he stands on issues.
