Probably because the list is growing in other states who support and are enacting same type laws, so far Alaska is not one of them:

The current list of states following Arizona's lead on immigration enforcement include ARKANSAS, IDAHO, INDIANA, MARYLAND, MICHIGAN, MINNESOTA, MISSOURI, NEBRASKA, NEVADA, NEW JERSEY, NORTH CAROLINA, OHIO, OKLAHOMA, PENNSYLVANIA, RHODE ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA, TEXAS, UTAH.

It's just comical that they think Illegals all over the US will start freaking out if the AZ law passes. Like the guy in the article said, they don't all of a sudden respect our laws when they cross over our border. They never respected their laws due the corruption.

It's probably because the illegals are projected to leave the states that have/will enact state level immigration laws.

But, the Pro-Illegals are claiming they are only here to work. That angle would imply that they are not here just to work (I agree with by the way) but to create an increase in crime.

What a joke. AZ law will increase crime per police chiefs. Why don't they change that to the truth "AZ law will increase crime per Eric Holder's hand pick selection of Police gathered for PR shot".

The argument is so flawed I don't even know where to start. The definition of "crime", for one - so they say enforcing a crime (illegal immigrants) will increase a crime. It defies logic. Not to mention the studies that relate crime, actual assualts, robberries, murders, etc, to illegal immigration.

If these police want to devote more resources to fighting "real" crime, then they can get their lazy donut eating asses out of the cruisers and stop ticketing people for going 72 miles in a 70 mile speed zone and spending some time on the streets. Meanwhile - they should do their job. Illigal immigration is a crime.
