A public community college in California has set up a scholarship fund for immigrant students — including illegal immigrants. The $2,500 scholarship has sparked anger by some, including at least one lawmaker who is threatening to cut off federal funding to the school.
Seems to be more and more of this PRO-ILLEGAL incentive crap - give them this, give them that . . .
What's next, handing out cash awards at the border?
Come one, come all, cash and prizes and refreshments . . . and all you have to do is CROSS THAT BORDER.
Congratulations Mr. Hernandez! Is there a way to take legal action against states when they do things like this? Since the scholarship is connected to the public school, does that make it for sure that it is paid for by federal funding? Well, it says that it is private, but what are the resources that illegal immigrants will have access to within the school that are funded by the state? Illegal immigrants on that scholarship will be using the cafeterias, the computer labs, the libraries, these are probably paid for by tuition and the state, right? People who have money going towards that should have a say in the funding of an illegal immigrant's education. Sure ... let's educate an illegal immigrant, so that once finished with their education, they can take a job from a legal resident or citizen. That's really nice.
Public community colleges should not alienate their taxpayers and constituents by offering scholarships like that (especially when prices aren't that high to begin with)
If it was a private university, it would be a different matter.
Illegals shouldn't be attending college anyway. Unfreakingbelievable.
They do because it's all a big lie they only come to do the low-wage jobs that Americans don't want to do. They want the high paying jobs and they want their college educations completely free. They come illegally because they don't want to fill out forms and wait their turn, and they don't want to pay the foreign student tuition rate that other foreign students must pay. They want it all handed to them on a silver platter, everything free.
