Gov. Jan Brewer has pushed aside the state's attorney general in Arizona's defense of its new law clamping down on illegal immigrants, accusing him of conspiring with the Obama administration as it considers whether to sue the state.
Brewer issued a statementlate Friday night saying her legal team will defend the state against lawsuits challenging the measure. She invoked a provision in the law to have private attorneysrepresent the state. They already are representing her in some of the legal challenges to the law that name her as a defendant.

Wow, that sucks! That goes to show you how bad some people would rather "LOOK GOOD" than to do the right thing. I hope they can disbar the prick.

It sounds like Goddard is on the fence about SB1070. I would suspect the same.

Goddard will likely face Brewer in the Governor's race. This sounds political to me.

Should be a close race.

It does sound like Goddard supports the law for the most part, but I think he's got more allegiance to the party, thus, he's out.

WHEN are people going to stop playing politics and look at what is best for this nation?!?!?!!!

This is the whole crux of the matter. Politics. For the good of America actually stopped many years ago.

Firing of the AG...Doesnt bode well for an Executive that fires the State's top Attorney.

Remeinds me of another Exicutive that did the same move...

In the most traumatic government upheaval of the Watergate crisis, President Nixon yesterday discharged Special Prosecutor Archibald Cox and accepted the resignations of Attorney General Elliot L. Richardson and Deputy Attorney General William D. Ruckelshaus.

I'd go with the Attorney over the politician anyday.

Ever since the days of the Federalists vs. the Democrat-Republicans, politics have always been a force in America.

Politics by definition is trying to accommodate people with various agendas and desires. It is inevitable in human society.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Did you read the article? The SA sided with the most corrupt politician-obama. That is why Brewer took him off the case.

getout, the Fox News article says:
Quote:

So if you want to say "Oh yeah, he's definitely in bed with Obama" as if it's a fact, then you have to explain why you believe this to be the case
