Poll: California voters favor Arizona law « Don Surber (http://blogs.dailymail.com/donsurber/archives/14974 - broken link)

Quote:
The Los Angeles Times and the University of Southern California polled registered voters on Arizona’s move to make illegal immigration a state crime.

From the Los Angeles Times: “50% of registered voters surveyed said they support the law, which compels police to check the immigration status of those they suspect are in the country illegally, while 43% oppose it…
Amazing really, considering California is taking the brunt of the infiltration of illegals and all they do to destroy a state.

It's goint to get a whole lot worse if California should have to face it's budget problems. Somewhere cuts will have to be made and with the polticians clamouring to bring in millions of indigent illegals, the cheapest possible workers and non-workers looking for their better life in welfare offices, who gets the cuts?

How fair is it to entice impoverished people from all over the world and tell them their "American dream" of easy money and a materialistic life is waiting for them and then not give it to them? So wait until Americans are homeless and unemployed while the government programs go to the new arrivals.

And at some point desperate Americans facing the end of their unemployment checks and unable to find jobs are going to get fed up with La Raza politicians claiming that Americans won't work.

hubby just told me about this a few minutes ago. It is amazing when you consider CA is one of the most liberal states with an exceptionally high number of illeglas.

Californians already know, we have known for along time. That is why prop. 187 passed in California back in the mid 90's, unfortunately it was struck down as unconstitutional and Grey Davis let it go without appeal. The issue California has is Democrats making the state a "nanny state". I posted transcripts of Jerry Brown on another post, he is the Democrat running for governor of California this year... go to his website and see if there is any mention of illegal immigration, you will find 0. The reason being is that he does not want to alienate democrat voters in the state, but according to the CNN transcripts (couple years ago) he wants to invest in Mexico with our tax dollars to bring the standard of living up, to quell the influx of illegal immigrants. After he is elected... it will be business as usual and they will continue to pour in, while our state (living off borrowed money for decades) continues to have our bonds devalued as we head towards bankruptcy. Viva La Raza! (long live the race)

California itself is divided between a left-wing coastal area and a conservative interior state, so this divide is not surprising.

Yes, well, California is desperate for money. They're willing to do anything.

Many Californians might support the AZ law and tighter immigration but its..
Very unlikely they are going to get it.
Too many pro-amnesty folks,mayors and left-leaning politicians.
The middle class keeps leaving and the illegals keep flowing in.
I think Dallas has hundreds of thousands of former californians lol
