If we have another amnesty, America will be a victim again. We've been victimized enough. America is starting to look like a third world country.

I disagree, it's partially it. Even with no amnesty, even if we took away the ability of them working under fake ids they will still come. There is still the options of free school, medical and social services via their children. There is enough of an underground economy they can still live better than many of the places they left.

True, but there would still be far less of them if we denied them and their children any social services also. Once the birthright citizenship clause is interpreted correctly future illegal aliens would not have the option of living off their anchors anymore.

The question being discussed is Amnesty will make more come. So we have established that is false, because even without amnesty, they will come for the benifits. so in conclusion the OP's contention that granting amnesty will incourage more to come is incorrect because people come for all reasons and amnesty is only one and may not be the most important reason either.

Amnesty just gives them another reason...let's not.

Amnesty isn't the answer. The loopholes used by all those hiring the illegals need to be closed and heavy fines should be levied against those companies and people. Even if amnesty is a thought in their minds when they come, they still need to work until it happens. And the majority of them are working. That is where the problem is.

The job my husband had in S. Florida had to do with contractors. He was an inspector. Once a month an INS van would come on the job sites and haul half the people away. The next day, new people were working. Finally one day he asked one of the guys that worked for the contractor how come they kept hiring the illegals. The guy said from what he knew, they had papers. Most of them forged, but the company wanted the cheap labor and didn't look past the papers in front of them. But they knew. They also had the workers doing things for them at home. Took advantage of a nice situation. They get paid, so they come.

Years ago I was waiting in a doctor's office for my Dad. I read a national magazine. Can't remember the name and I have researched it but nothing. It said then the number 1 export of Mexico was its citizens living and working in the U.S. They sent almost all their money back to Mexico. Sorry I can't prove it but it stuck with me.

If there are jobs here, they will come. Dangle amnesty and forget about it. We lose.
