I've decided to revise my contracts. I'll be asking my lawyer to draft an amendment to my exiting contract. It will clearly state "that during any part of any project that we are in agreement with if at anytime it is found that an illegal alien has been or is employed, it makes this contract voidable".

Meaning no mullah.

I have big projects which pay big money. We'll see how many Americans/legal residents will have work, finally.

Will you be asking the contractor to use a specific method to verify immigration status, or is the 1-9, SS card good enought to establish worker eligiblity or documented worker eligibility status?

Good for you. I don't like doing business with anyone that hires illegals as well. Definitely thinking about adding this to my contracts as well.

Can you request a "TWIC" card?

TSA: Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC™)

This is what we use, its more ID than a passport.

As it stands now, ALL of the employees going into the oil fields MUST have one so that makes this easier. It's these little side jobs which will be most affected, a school, extension, water treatment plant or other. A TWIC is not a requirement for these types of jobs therefore my contract will make that difference.
