I don't believe many would pay that much but that is not my freaking problem, is it? Don't want to pay? Go home!

Legal immigrants paid somewhere around $50k to get green card, why shouldn't they, the illegals, pay that much plus penalty? I have friends who have been in America legally for over 10 years, but they still working on getting their green cards. 10 years! how many career opportunities they have lost? That is 10 years of someone's life trying to stay legal. We are talking about family being broken, cannot travel back home, cannot be with their children or spouse. Where are our hearts?

Personally, I don't really give a crap about what they plan to do with illegals but BEFORE we do anything for the illegal, we should do something for the legal immigrants.

Perhaps your gripes should be moved to the legal immigration forum then. This one is strictly about illegal immigration.
