My wife and I are going to be moving to Peoria and I would love some advice on where to live. It looks like a lot of people here are in tune with the safe and unsafe areas of town. When people talk about the north side or downtown, etc. that's great, but not being from the area, it's hard for me to know what is considered the north side or downtown. I know i will be working on main st. just south of I-74, which I believe is considered downtown?
So, can anyone give specific areas, and/or specific apartment complexes (especially with websites) that are good? Some that I am currently looking at are: Bradford Woods, Timberlane, Prairie Lakes, Colony South (Morton), Grove Apartments
Are there specific suburbs I should look at? I've heard dunlap, washington, germantown hills, and morton are good?
I'd also like to know if anyone knows anything about RiverWest -
http://peoria.apartmentfinder.com/Pe...est-Apartments - 312 S. Merriman St, Peoria. They look nice, but I can't find anything about whether or not they are in a good area, and/or whether or not they are a quality place to live
Thanks
