Napalm is on a distinguished road
There are usually houses for rent in the area called the lanes. It a neighbor hood on the river side of Rt. 29 just north of Detwiller park. I would look there.

Default Where should you liive?

Mossville is a small village and it was a decent place to live the last time I was there. If I were in your shoes and I did not have any ties to either town I would rent a room at the little motel at Mossville for a month or so and start looking around.

There is Mossville. Chillecothe and North, and Peoria to consider. The stretch of highway between Forest Park hill rooad in peoria and Chillecothe is ideal as it is a mix of apartments and houses. Wbat you do NOT do is live next to the water.. When the river floods, it doesn't flood just a wee tiny bit. You might also look at old Rome Road. Prospect Road above Forest Park hill road is a very nice area. However, the "hill" is closed in winter as are most of the park hills; few are open. If you live on Prospect, and if the hill is closed, it would add at least another 30 minutes drive time in Cat traffic. North of Chille is nice too.

There is a lot of nice properties on the river side of the highway, be careful not to rent on the river front. If you like CAT, you might think aoubt a rent-to-own property.

Default Moving to Peoria

My wife and I are going to be moving to Peoria and I would love some advice on where to live. It looks like a lot of people here are in tune with the safe and unsafe areas of town. When people talk about the north side or downtown, etc. that's great, but not being from the area, it's hard for me to know what is considered the north side or downtown. I know i will be working on main st. just south of I-74, which I believe is considered downtown?

So, can anyone give specific areas, and/or specific apartment complexes (especially with websites) that are good? Some that I am currently looking at are: Bradford Woods, Timberlane, Prairie Lakes, Colony South (Morton), Grove Apartments

Are there specific suburbs I should look at? I've heard dunlap, washington, germantown hills, and morton are good?

I'd also like to know if anyone knows anything about RiverWest - http://peoria.apartmentfinder.com/Pe...est-Apartments - 312 S. Merriman St, Peoria. They look nice, but I can't find anything about whether or not they are in a good area, and/or whether or not they are a quality place to live

Thanks
