Dude if you live in Pontiac but don't about Flanagan, you need to get out more. It's just like Pontiac minus the prison and a few houses.

He never said he lives in Pontiac. Either answer the guy's question courteously or keep your trap shut.

Flanagan
Flanagan is a small farming community. Not a whole lot there except peace and quiet and people who live there because of the peace of quiet.

Altho mine is a total waste of information for you I just had to post.....I was born in the hospital in Pontiac but my parents lived in Flanagan....Dad used to say that after each child was born or someone died, someone would go out and change the population figure on the town sign...when we left it was up to 57......course that was 40(cough cough)+ years ago.

Flanagan is a typical farm town like most of the small towns around this area. It's quiet, basically no traffic, and your basic gas station, small convenience store, bank, post office, bar, and several small car dealerships. The school system is good if you have children which will be attending. If you're looking for a smaller community than Pontiac, and don't mind the 15-20min drive into Pontiac...wouldn't be a bad place for you. I'm originally from Minonk, and never had a problem with minorities being an issue...however, there are not currently many minorities in Flanagan right now, for whatever reasons. Not sure if this would make you uncomfortable or not in the area... not trying to do so, though.

I hung out in Minonk for a weekend back when there was a B&B in town. Neat little place.
