Here is the home page. City of Paris - Paris, Illinois USA - Home

There is also a family medical center, hospital and at least one pharmacy. It looks like it is the county seat. The city clerk can tall you who to contact for cable, who the DVM, and local insurance agents are, and who will provide utilites. Google has a lot of information on Paris. .

Someone please help me my husband just got a job in Paris, Illinois. How bad is it? Is there even a grocery store? Can you rent a house there? It looks there there are only 6 homes for sale that were all built in 1909ish. How far to civilization? Is there an academic talent program for young kids? Is the high school a "tech" high school? What in the crap happened to academics? HELP!

Paris is a farm town that is also the county seat. You will find all the basics you require. Civilization, as you call. it is in Chicago and St.Louis. If you want academics you will have to live where you find gifted schools for children or homeschool - if you have a gifted child. Stistically homeschooled children outperfom public school children in testing.
